hi, i asked a question like 3 days ago and the answers i was getting were...you've got a yeast infection.
my questions is...what exactly is a yeast infection?!
I wanted to add that if you catch the yeast infection early, it won't get to the thick chunky discharge stage. It starts out a little itchy inside the vagina. I've never had much itching outside the vagina other than immediately around the opening.
It's best to go to a doctor for your first yeast infection to confirm that it is a yeast infection because many women confuse a vaginal yeast infection with a vaginal bacterial infection. The suppositories for yeast infections won't cure bacterial infections - and may make them worse.

It's not really that bad, but if you don't get special cream [Vagisil, over the counter] it can get really bad so if it is the first one that you've ever got and don't know really how to deal with it, go to the doctor, they will explain a little more detailed, and probably tell you to get Vagisil too, and I heard yogurt helps [if you were antibiotics, it can cause a yeast infection, but yogurt prevetns it.] Hope I've Helped! You know when you have one when you start to itch the area down there and your discharge is discolored. A burning sensation results when you urinate. There are over the counter creams that you can buy to get rid of this if you do have it.

A yeast infection develops in places where moisture encourages fungal growth.Could be insied your mouth (babies get this a lot) or in the vaginal area.It can even grow between fingers and toes.It does not mean you aren't clean....can happen to anyone.
If in you mouth it leaves white patches that can come off with eating or toothbrushing, but it comes back.
between fingers and toes it causes rash maybe small blisters.
vaginal yeast infection causes itching, redness, swelling and white discharge.
