okay... my dog died about a couple months ago.. and i'm getting a new dog this summer.... but don't know what kind of dog to get..if anyone knows a good dog to get... can you tell me??

Papillons are very smart dogs, and very small as well.
Also, Lhasa Apso's are very smart and don't shed alot.

a bichon frise!!! they are perfect! they are small-only about 15 pounds! they are white, the most hypo-allergenic dog(that eans most people arent allegic to them),dont shed...AT ALL!, very easy to train, and are cute! ashlee simpson has one!! so do i - -> so you know they rock! lol another good dog is a goldendoodle (golden reciever and poodle) they are VERY cute and dont shed much, but bigger then a bichon!

shelties are nice. beagles are awesome too. chihuahuas...well that's only if you like them. but personally i would go for the beagle. but that's me.

Hey hun! I'm so sorry about your dog that died :( That's not good at all. If I were you I would get a Chihuahua, or a Bichon Frise, cuz their really playful and lovable! They also don't shed either, which is really good. If you get a Bichon and it's a boy you can get bandanas on him, or if it's a girl you can get bows in her ears! You have to get a Bichon Frise groomed once in a while. I have 2 Chihuahua's and a Bichon Frise, and they are the best! Their names are Foofoo, Kibbles, and Rocky. I loove boston terriers, but right now my dog is < they make the cutest puppies! lol anyways so so so sweet and i got a springer spaniel, they are the sweetest dogs! i hope this helps. ps. dont get a chiuawa or w/e lol<< they arent very good with kids and they like to bite and bark alot!

a shit-tzu or however you spell it is a good dog!! i have one!! they dont shed!! and the are very cuddley and very easy do putty trian! but they do like to play a lot but its fun to run around with them outside! THEY DONT SHED!!

Anyways, if you're looking for a 'smaller' dog, what about a beagle? They are friendly, and absolutely adorable. Or...maybe some sort of smaller spaniel? My friend has a spaniel that is just a gorgeous dog, and the sweetest thing. I think it is a brittany spaniel. It's more on the medium size range, but I think there are different sizes of spaniels. If you are open minded about the size, my ultimate recommendation for dogs would be a golden retriever. I am biased, because I have two of them, but it just doesn't get any better than that. They are extremely sweet-tempered, playful, easy to train, loyal... and just really pretty dogs. Let me know if you need any more help, I could ask some friends the exact breeds of their dogs, I don't know them off-hand, but they are a smaller sort. Good luck!
