*Get someone you trust!
* DOnt use the comb type they are harder to control. Caps are way easier
* Wear an old shirt and shorts and take all the rugs out of your bathroom i ruined mine!
*Try a semi-Perminet dye 1st they wash out in like 28 washes so if you dont like it scrub ur hair imediatly
*Sun in only works on light colored hair if your hair is dark brown its not going to work!
* Good luck..lettme know how it works!

if your using one of those comb in highlight thingys...dont rub the hightlight stuff IN ur hair, just let it be! my mom rubbed it in my hair and now i have a HUGE neon blonde dot in the front of my head!!!!

hey! ok, so i just did mine last night and my hair is now ruined. so here are things you shouldn't do:
1. DON'T LET YOUR MOM DO IT!-- she'll mess up your hair and think she has a clue of what she's doing, but in reality has no clue.
2. don't put too much in one area- it lightens it enough, so that'll just bring too much attention to that one are
3. don't put tons and tons on- a little bit is only needed to get the job done
4. don't keep it in 20 minutes after your supposed to because someone forgot to tell you when time was up- it'll practically bleach your hair and make it turn some gross color :) not good.
5. try not to put chunky highlights- it's looks fake
6. leave space in between each area of highlighting- it gives it a natural look

good luck and hope your hair doesn't turn out like mine! haha :)

Here are some pointers for when you are highlighting your hair. Read the directions carefully and follow them. Don't put too much dye in your hair at once. Wear an old shirt so you won't ruin any others. Make sure you leave the dye in for the right time and your highlights will come out the way you want them to be.

ok, instead of highlighting your hair with a box kit, do it this way to make it look very natural: All you have to do is buy some lemon juice (the actual juice, not lemonade) and brush it through your hair. then go out in the sun and lay there for a while. it wont work right away, but after a few times it will start to work. you can do this on weekends or when youre bored. and while you do it, you can also get a tan! i hope i helped!

You can try, but If I were you, schedule a hair appointment in advance before you try it. Me and my best friend did that and our hair turned red when we wanted it from blonde to light brown.

~Keep an old towel over your shoulders and back. Why? I ruined my favorite shirt by getting dye on it!
~Follow the directions exactly how they are written. Make sure you know what to do before you actually do it.
~Keep an eye on the clock so you're sure when it's time to wash your hair.

Good luck! I hope your highlights turn out great. =)
