my friends say i talk about this kid i like way too much, and now that i think about it i kinda do. what can i do to stop? i mean i like him so much i can't get my mind off him. what can i do?
karenR answered Saturday March 26 2005, 3:00 am: you can think about him without talking about it.
I'm sure you like him but when people can't talk about something else now and then it gets a little boring.
partygurl24 answered Saturday March 26 2005, 12:12 am: Well, I can totally relate to you. I am obsessed about this guy I like, only I don't think my friends know I like him because I don't use his name when I talk about him or ask questions about his class for me to know his behavior. You should think about his negatives. Like, maybe he talks feminine or can't dress...something like that. Whenever you feel like talking about him, just remember those negatives so that you will ahev a reason to not talk about him. Your friends probably feel annoye dabout you talking about him all of the time because they might want to talk about other thngs with you, but they can't because you're always talking about him. Consider their feelings, that ought to make you stop talking about him itself. I hope I helped! [ partygurl24's advice column | Ask partygurl24 A Question ]
hopelessnlove answered Friday March 25 2005, 11:28 pm: i had that happen to me a while ago. If you really like him then its not bad to show it...althoguh my freinds got kinda annoyed with me talking about it 24-7. so i just started writing stuff in a journal...saved their time and mine. I know how it feels to really like someone and not know how to handle it...so good luck, find a journal and write down how you feel about this kid...he might be someone special you never know. goodluck [ hopelessnlove's advice column | Ask hopelessnlove A Question ]
Miss_Lily answered Friday March 25 2005, 11:12 pm: Not to sound rude, but you can just stop talking about him around your friends. You know it has gone too far when your friends are starting to get annoyed by your frequent talking about him. When you catch yourself about to start a sentence with him as the subject, stop yourself or change your sentence. [ Miss_Lily's advice column | Ask Miss_Lily A Question ]

The first thing to do is ask your friends they're honest opion if you talk about him to much. Then if they say yes then talk to the boy you like. If you think he likes you ask him. The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago and now hes my boy friend and i dont always talk about him.
blueskies482 answered Friday March 25 2005, 10:19 pm: Yeah, it's a bad thing to do. Try to remember that just because you really care about something or someone doesn't mean everyone else does. Instead just stop talking about him, focus some of that energy into actually talking to him, and just forget about the rest. You'll look a lot cooler if you can pull off this relationship without being obsessed with it, and it has a better chance of working out as well. Karen answered Friday March 25 2005, 10:08 pm: The only way to stop is to distract yourself as much as possible so you will get this guy off of your mind. It's normal to talk about your crush a lot and you aren't the only one who does. Try hanging out with friends like you did before you liked this guy, go shopping, sign up for after school activities, and other ways. You really just need to tell yourself that you need to stop thinking about this guy. These ideas may not work but you will stop eventually.
