how do get rumors to go away....i just had a huge ass rumor started about me...but the thing is its true...just not ne more...i don't want my entire scool to think shitty about me over a mistake a made a while back...wat do i do??i rate high

ok i had the same thing happen between me and this girl and i was experimenting and everything and a couple of things happened and then she went and told everyone and it started off as it was me who told everyone and not her and then everytone came to realize that she was a liar.....but ne wayz the only thing you can do is let the rumor run its course and eventually the person who started comes out.........

im in the same postition as you...i wantd 2 switch schools, but that'll make it worse 4 me..n better 4 tha ones who made the rumor...i wanna fight, but that'll get worse for everyone....all we kan do, is for get about it all...its not our fault people love us so much and love talking abowt us!...

The thing is, is rumors don't stop and never will. they don't stop spreading whatsoever. You just gotta ignore them and act like they don't bother you. If they think that you are affected then they will continue just to see you suffer. if you don't then they will get bored and hopefully forget about it, even tho there are people out there that don't forget and will bring it up but just ignore it

The thing about rumors is that they seem really big at the time but they will become old news and no one will remember or care. The next big thing that happens will consume the rumor about you and you won't have to worry anymore. I would honeslty try to ignore it. I know thats easier said then done, but the more you get involved or defensive about it the longer its going to last and stay as gossip. I hope I helped, good luck!

technically it isn't a rumor if it's true. Rumors are untrue things said about you.
Who is doing all this to you? You need to find that out and don't trust them with confidences anymore.
I don't know that there is any real way to stop it spreading.You might let those who's opinions mean something to you know the real story.Better they know the truth however bad it is rather than hear an exaggerated story from gossip.

Heres what you do. Hold your head up high. I know it seems hard and you dont want people believing this but when you're approached just nod it off and say 'if anyone would know the truth, it's me.' Understand half these people dont even believe these rumors they just feed on them out of boredom. It will sooo past and until then write out your feelings, listen to your music, take a hot bath... do your thing!

Um.. You should ignore it or make the school talk about something else...!! Because if you pay attention to it they will see that your getting mad and talk and spread about it more... hope i helped...

i dont think u could stop rumors. wen another jucicy event happens your safe. until den try 2 ignore it or pretend it doesn't matter 2 u. may be people would stop if they see it doesn't bother you.or you could try 2 tell people it's not true. i hope i helped!

you cant really get rid of rumors, but like when someone brings it up tell them its not true and you would apprecate it if they would stop talking about you. also i just learned something you will be much happier when you learn to not care about what other people think of you. hope i helped **TINK**

There's no real way to stop rumors, they will always be going around. Every school has it's rumors. You just have to be strong, stand tall and ingore them all. Even if they are true or not, ingore them. It'll show people your stronger then some rumor and you're not going to let that break you down.
