Question Posted Monday March 14 2005, 8:33 pm

When I'm on my piriod, my friends ask me to do something, and I always say no, becuase well, I'm embarrassed that my blood is going to leek through. So my friends get all mad at me becuase, well I don't tell them why, but I really don't want to tell them that I am on my period.. what do I do so that they won't be mad at me when I say I can't??

It depends on what it is they want you to do.
Usually being on your period is just an inconvience but shouldn't keep you from going out and having fun.If it really bothers you, just check it out now and then and change pad/tampon as needed.You'll be ok.
I know it's embarrassing for some to talk about but it's a normal function that your friends probably have to deal with to.So, let them know so they don't think you're just being a party pooper:}

well, if its your girl friends, you should probably tell them, because every girl goes through the same thing. just explain that you are paraniod (so am i) that you are going to leek. maybe they won't be so mad.
also, you might want to try tampons. they work better and are less likely to leek.
i hope i helped.

You cant be embarrased, all girls go through this so you shouldnt be embarrased. If you have a tampon your ok. So if you wear one then go out and have fun and dont worry. Keep some spares in your purse incase if you need them. If you need any questions on it just go to www.beinggirl.com it gives you alot of info you probably need. So if you dont wear a tampon i would advise you to wear one. So tell your friends and if your not ready just tell them and they will understand! good luck! xoxo BLONDE911

Just say your parentsw wont let you, or you have to babysit or something~! Why would you be embarrased if their your girlfriends! They would understand, I HATE going out when im on my period! I feel like everyone is watching me and can tell I'm on my period. So I'm with you there, so just tell them they should understand. If you dont want to tell them, say your parents wont let you!
