I think I have a problem. You see I am terribly clumsy so I bump into stuff, fall, and trip alot. As a result I get really bumped and scratched up. My problem comes in with the healing. While my wounds are healing I enjoy the sensation of the pain. I enjoy it so much that when they scab over I tear them off so I can feel the pain all over again. I don't bump into stuff on purpose. But I do enjoy the reprecussions alot. 21/f. Is something wrong with me? Could this lead to a cutting fettish?

Draak answered Friday March 11 2005, 9:29 am: My littlest brother, he's twelve, has the same problem. We found out that he has obsessvie compulsive disorder, since it had gotten to the point where he would hide in order to pick. As far as it leading to cutting, I wouldn't begin to know. I would hope that is not the case, but if I was in your shoes, I would talk to a psychologist if it gets any worse. [ Draak's advice column | Ask Draak A Question ]

Everytime you have a scab, put a band-aid over it, and when you get the urge to do it, you need to just bare with it, and keep it on, you need to keep yourself occupied, and try watching out when you walk, because if you keep that up, your going to have some hard times and embaressing situations.

lilrocksta13 answered Friday March 11 2005, 12:08 am: Hey, this stuff happens to me too. So you aren't alone. Nothing is wrong with you. Most people find the object of pain amusing but that doesn't mean you aren't normal like everyone else. I don't think it could lead to a cutting fetish, but if it does, be sure to get help ASAP! Teza answered Friday March 11 2005, 12:03 am: Yes it could lead to cutting but cutting isnt only for fun. If you cut then you are going to depression and stress stages. It could also not lead to cutting but that depends on you. I dont know how you could enjoy hurting your self but I guess you do. Try to be careful where you`re walking and stuff and try not to hurt your self. If you continue to do that dont ever start cutting because you can get addicted to it and its really hard to stop! Think about it! x0 [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
