Question Posted Saturday March 5 2005, 12:05 pm

I have alot of dried skin on my face all of a sudden for no reason, so I stopped using a facial cleanser but it doesn't seem to help, I've tried a feew moisterisers and nothing is working, and I don't wear cover up or foundation or anything like that. Any advice on how to get my face moisterized?

Well, it is winter. My skin gets really dried out during the winter. I'd say try using hand lotion on your face, that should moisturize it. Or else visit a doctor because it could be rosacea. Rosacea is where your skin is really dried out and red. But your doctor will give you something to help.

I think you should wash your face when you wake up and then after your face is dry again add a *pea* size of regular lotion and apply it to your face then do that for 2 more times (lunch/when u get home from school) and then right before you go to bed! I hope I helped! ♥Andie (tell me if it worked!)

First of all, don't stop washing your face. Thats really important for clear skin. Along with the moisturizers you have been trying, I would try a moizturizing facial mask, you can get them at drug stores, or pretty much anywhere. Make sure you get one that says it moisturizes your skin. There should be some that are specially formulated for that. Another thing that I think you should try is drinking more water. This dry skin could be coming from the fact that you are not getting enough water in your body, and that's what is causing the problem. Drink 8 glasses of water a day for awhile and see if it helps.

rainbowsend answered Saturday March 5 2005, 2:18 pm:
Try a cleanser with exfoliating qualities... like microbeads. Another option is to use a face mask once a week.

Don't stop washing your face. Then the dead skin cells will just collect in your pores along with oil and dirt and form zits.

Do use a good moisturizer. Something that's oil-free is good for most teens.

You may want to try something that's better quality than drugstore brands, such as mary kay, avon, or clinique.

stop being one of those people who take showers 3 times a day

well taking too many showers in a certain time period can make your skin dried out because of washing it too much

Try using moisturizers from Aloe Vera or Aveno. These two brands are really good and I use both of them and they help moisturize my face. Nivea is also great too and it will really moisturize your face but it does make your skin look oily if you put too much on.
