In my school people get picked on school temas basically because they are friends with the coach. they could be not as good as one person but if they know the coach they will still make it. well i dont know the coach and im trying out for basketball but i dont know if i should because they probally wont pick me cause i dont know the coach cause im ok at basketball im not the best but im not bad (sorry if this is confusing) my question is though should i try out or not?
LexybelNLisa answered Saturday February 26 2005, 6:24 pm: Yes you should definitely try out.. i mean you got a 50/50 chance, you either make it .. or dont! So just try out and if you do CONGRATS and if you dont, its ok, cause atleast you gave it a shot... though good luck! [ LexybelNLisa's advice column | Ask LexybelNLisa A Question ]

SAMzasis answered Saturday February 26 2005, 4:14 pm: DO IT! DO IT! GO FOR IT! Go, and do your very best. If you don't you'd wonder in life, "Why the hell didn't I do, what SAM told me to do?" And you'll regret. If you try out, and you don't make it, then obviously, the coach didn't like you so much. Just suck up to him and every thing, until you get the results if you got in or not.
But then again, if your school team thing sucks, it's really not that great to be in it, since you're on a losing team, and you think College would look at that and love you? Hmmm, something to be thinking about man. Well, take my advice and go for it. And if you realize the team sucks, drop out or something. There's always lower people than you, that your coach can relace you with. [ SAMzasis's advice column | Ask SAMzasis A Question ]
Karen answered Saturday February 26 2005, 11:13 am: You should try out because if you don't, then you will never know if you would make the team and you will miss a chance. Since a lot of people make the team if they are friends with the coach, you can try talking to this coach and such. Even if you don't want to but you try out and don't make it, you can definitely talk to this coach and tell him that he shouldn't put people on the team, just because he knows them and that there are other people who are probably better than these people. So yeah, you should try out.

Erinn_the_bamf answered Saturday February 26 2005, 10:36 am: You should deffinately try-out. Who knows, you could make it. And many times it's not exactly that you know the coach and boom you're on the team. It could be the coach knows how good the player is because they have seen that person play before. Don't get discouraged just do the best you can. I hope I helped! ♥ good luck
P.S. tell me how it goes! [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]
