im 5'2 and 115 lbs. everyone tells me im not fat or chubby. they say that my stoamch is flat but its not. no matter what i think that im heavy and that its noticable. are there any ways to make my stomach flat? and situps never worked for me. i want to lose it because im always afraid that im going to lose my boyfriend to someone whos skiny and pretty. any ideas? please and thank you.

Be confident about yourself. You can't love someone if you don't love yourself first. Exercises: You could always go to a gym, they normally have a list of exercises you could do for certain areas. But I think a good one is:
Lay on your back like you are about to do sit ups. (Hands behind your head). Reach up and diagonal to where your left elbow would touch your right knee and your right elbow will touch your left knee. Go back and forth. Besta Luck

You have to sweat for at least 30 mins. a day (cardio work-out) to burn the fats in your body. how does that work? well if you sweat and hyperventilate, your body's metabolism becomes faster.

Then supplement that with about 15 sit-ups/3 sets (for beginners). To tone down your tummy area.

Don't lose hope and don't asses your weight in 2 days. Examine you body again after about a 10 days of exercise.

Don't starve yourself too. Eat only when hungry and in moderation. Dieting/starving yourself makes your metabolism slow.

Now if you want a fun way to tone down your stomach fats, take belly dancing. It's really popular here in the Philippines and the people who are really into it have slimmer waist lines.

You really are not fat. Yes, I know...I can't see you. But I can prove it.

It is called your "Ideal Body Weight." To calculate your ideal body weight you multiply 2.3 times the amount of inches you are over five feet. (This is for women only.) For example: if you are five feet and two inches tall, it would look like this: 2.3 x 2. Then you add 45.5 kg. You now have your ideal weight. To convert kilograms to pounds simply multiply your kilograms by 2.2.

I did the calculations myself and I got 110 lbs. In case you are gasping because you are five pounds over your ideal body weight, you are still not fat (your actually quite slim). Overweight, or obese is defined as 20% over ideal body weight. Which means that you would have to be over 132 lbs. to be considered overweight.

You shouldn't be concerned about being overweight. If you want to be concerned about being healthy...Fine. Drink lots of water, eat three healthy meals a day, and exercise for at least twenty minutes every day.

BTW, if you're thinking that your boyfriend is going to leave you for one of those girls that look like stick figures, forget it. It probably doesn't bother him, just you. I've actually had several members of the opposite sex tell me that they don't like stick-girls. They like women with curves, because it looks more feminine and sexually appealing. Think of it this way, if a guy wanted to date someone effeminite looking, he could just date another guy.

You need to look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful, and BELIEVE it. Otherwise you are not going to believe him when he tells you that you are beautiful. And if you don't believe him, you'll end up pushing him away. Push him away long enough, and your worse fear just might come true. Only he won't be leaving you for someone skinnier, he'll be leaving you for someone with more confidence.

To keep him you don't need to loose weight, you need to gain confidence.

hey gurl the advice doctor is in the house.

i know what your going threw, ive been threw it before. okay, maybe your problem is snacking, like me. cut out any snacking & keep active. if your boyfriend is really a boy friend thats loves you for you then he wont go running in the other direction for another gurl. and if he does then he wasnt worth it. get back to me in a few weeks and tell me how its going. if you need anymore advice im hear.

Dude, I'm 5'2 and sometimes I way 115 but I'm not fat, so I don't think you are either. Are you weighing yourself with your clothes on, because if you are, you need to take a little off for the wieght of the clothes. I'm almost positive that you aren't fat and you know muscle weighs more than fat? Maybe sit-ups aren't working for you because you're already doing enough of them. Up your self esteem. If you're boyfriend thought you were heavy and not pretty, you wouldn't HAVE a boyfriend. I used to be just like you but you have to get more self esteem, you are pretty if you have a boyfriend. Try to cut down on the junk food intake and do sit-ups and pushups. Do Taebo if you can. Trust me, keep doing sit-ups and do crunches, too.

hmm that sounds EXTREMELY familier. thats exactly my problem ( except i dont have a b/f lol) um i have an idea but i dont know if it will work...
limit your amount of junk food. you can still eat it but maybe instead of having a whole bag of chips have half. try doing 20 crunches a night. i'm sure youll see a difference. i think im gonna take my own advice. lol hope it works!! good luck!!!

ok i play varsity soccer for mi highschool and we have to do this stuff ALL the time...what i did..and my abs are like ROCK HARD... was have someone...sibling..friend ANYONE! stand and then you lay on your back and put your head between their feet and hold onto their ankles...lift your legs up and theyll hold your feet and push them down like to the ground and dont let your feet touch the ground and bring your feet back up to them...keep doing it everyday for about 30mins and omg your abs will be so hard...and you lose lovehandls and stuff

ok let me just put it straight. Althouh you probably hear this a lot this is true, sometimes what you think isnt always true. You are definately not fat, just because you see a lot of people who look like sticks--dont think they are much better than you. Plus if you have a boyfriend he obviously should like you for who you are and your attractiveness---if you lose your boyfriend for some STUPID reason such as weight, then he was never worth it in the first place. Good ways to keep up in good shape is just go running, swimming, get involved in school sports, activities. Try doing all this stuff with a good friend that will encourage you...this will help. hope i helped *Loretta

Sweetie, you aren't fat all and you aren't going to lose your boyfriend, just because you thin you're fat. If you want to flatten your abs, do crunches and start running and jogging. Eating healthy and watching you eat will also help you feel better about yourself.

More than likely it is all in your mind. Dont worry. I would never break up with a girl becuase of their weight. Making your stomach flatter though, That can be helped.

1st.Eat healthier

2.Situps

3.Ease off your stress if you have any.

Sit-ups do work, but you have to do cardio before (this includes running, jump roping, anything to get your heart rate up). Because when you get your heart rate up, that's what burns the calories, and if you do sit-ups and ab exercises directly afterward, your heart rate will still be up while you're working the abs. I'm doing it, and it's working for me!

Okay you are just being dumb, you aint fat, and i aint even never seen you. Maybe you got pudge, or love handles.Who cares be happy with yourself, take a look around at the chics at school, look at the chics in your class sitting there they got rolls dont they, and if they dont, they are prolly really skinny or have a eating disorder.And dont worry bout losing your boyfriend, he aint worth it if he'd go for someone else other than you anyway. Plus im pretty sure he dont think your fat. And if you really wanna get rid of that lil roll or pudge just do leg lifts. They work.
