well im 16 and started my periods when i was 13 and i havent told my mom yet!! (ive been gettin away with it through usin loadsa toilet paper n stealin pads off her n buyin them at school, if your wonderin). the thing is i cant tell her because shes really mean and honestly does hate me and wants to put me in care - she has told me herself that she only lets me stay here still cause she gets paid in child benefits. she would laugh at me if i told her...how do i tell her that i have started without her laughing?
please dont tell me she wont or shes been through it too or whatever because i know this woman and you dont. i know she will laugh its what she does.
besides shouldnt a good mom have asked her 16 yr old daughter if shes started her periods yet anyway??

Yea listen ma, you need to tell her because YOU'VE BECOME A WOMAN, and if you dont have a job to be able to buy your own pads and crap then you have to depend on her to get them even if you think she' ll laugh at you. I mean when you break it down its kinda better to have your mom laugh at you the first time you tell her about ur period then being joked the rest of the time your in school b/c you like had an accident which could've been avoided if you just told your mom! Please rate me. But also take into consideration what i told ya!

Just tell her and if she does start lauging just walk away and while you`r walking away turn around and yell "SORRY IF I WANTED TO INCLUDE MY SO CALLED MOTHER IN MY LIFE"..And your last sentence yea a good mom whould have aksed her daughter if she has gotten it yet so something is wrong with her (not trying 2 be mean)..Hope I Helped

wow ... well no offence but your mom sounds.. a little horrible.. im sorry if i make you feel bad when i say this..but if your mom tells you that your only here because of getting paid in child benefits ... i mean seriously that's the worst thing a mom can tell a child.. anyways enough about that.. you should tell your mom and if she laughs about it tell her to grow up and that she really makes you feel like crap...sorry if i couldnt help.. i tried lol good luck !!

Don't act like it's a big deal because it really isn't. Just like leave them in the trash in the bathroom and if she wants to say something she will, but say um.. yea i've been getting them for 3 years now and have a like w/e attitude. I think that might be your best bet.

A good mother would have asked her daughter if she has started her period yet, if she was 16 years old. This now tells you that your mom really doesn't care about you, since you already knew that. If you know that she laughs when you tell her things, then you should just tell her that you have started your period and ignore her if she does laugh at you. You know that she is not a good mother towards you and like you said, she would rather put you in foster care and not take care of you, so this wouldn't make anything worse or better. Since you need to steal pads from your mom, why don't you try getting a job so you can buy your own, so you won't have to go through the hassle of getting them without your mom knowing? yea well i know what you mean- and you can't just avioding it forever, because what are you going to do for the next 2 years until your move away or whatever?.. so next time, just be like 'mom buy me some pads or tampons' and she wouls say okay right? .. i would hope so.. so probably just assume's you have it and didnt care to tell her, so it won't be awkard. and it will kill 2 birds in 1 stone because now she'll get the stuff for you, And you told her! so goodluck.. and if that doesnt work, then i guess use your friends or get money from your mom and just buy them, but since she's your mom, she needs to buy things for you- especially those, good luck hope i helped

if your mom isnt going to understand and you dont want to tell her, maybe stock up on ones from school for awhile and maybe get a job and buy your own. when you do buy your own, i suggest tampons. and you can go on tampax.com or any other website for feminine products and get free samples.

Yes she should of asked you by now, Why dont you tell some one you think isnt going to laugh at you mabe your friends and also they could help you by giving you some pads and stuff
if your not ready to tell your mum then thats upto you, if she was a good mother she should understand and she should now be asking you why you havent started your periods

Write her a note and say, Don't think I'm silly, but I've been embaressed to tell you that I've started my period. I just wanted to let you know that we might be needing more pads then normally.
You can also get a job -- buy some with extra money you might get.

Besides, .. you only have two years anyways with her, so endure it for a little longer and then you'll be free as a bird.
