Hey. no it doesn't hurt you hair but then it depends what kind of hair you have for the perm to work. you should talk to a professional about that. and usually they treat it very well so it will be baby soft. and the treatment depends where you go can cost between $100-$500 it's pretty expensive. do you can always do what i do i use heatactivate products for my hair because i straighten mine everytime i wash my hair i do touch ups too...if you want let me kno if you want the names of some products. hope i helped! take Care! x3 SweetStar.

I say get the perm. Sure it will make your hair really dry and ruiny, but as long as you use a healthy shampoo and conditioner it willl be allll good. yah you can get one if you have highlights. It can run from 70 dollars and up. Check out some websites and call around to local hair salons and find out!

If you want to continue to straighten it use a Revlon Straightener if wont fry your hair it has like this coating on it and the straight perm is hard on your hair.I have wavy hair i just straighten it and it works fine. If you want it to saty in for a while try using a pomade-madde

Ok.. any kind of perm is very Expensive!!! And yes it will make your hair dried out.. If you want to get a straight perm you really need to deep condition it! alot!!!! it is a hassle to straighten your hair with a straightener but if you want straight hair the cheapest way is to straighten it with a straghtener.... But if you want to get a straight perm then go for it.!

Hope i helped!!

PS-It is ok to get a straight perm with highlights.

hey hunny, curly hair is gorgeous, ur one lucky lady. but unfortunately it is high maintenance and many cant be bothered at times!

chemical treatments are good, but a bit drastic, so i suggest you trying some serum (anti-frizz) before straightening, and see how that goes. Im pretty sure it should acheive the look your after. If not, then chemically getting it straightned is not gonna kill you hair!, jus dont do it often!(not too sure on the price, over here in the uk its about £50, altho the price does vary), to maintain your sleek sexy look, use some serum before straightening!

Ive had my permed and then ive had it straigthen permently and it works but its a bit wavy not as curl as it was when i had it permed
it doesnt fry hair it just makes it dry for the first few days but then its fine but you might still need to use straighteners not every day just every so often.
mine costed about £50 so it might be alot more for yours because my was shoulder length hope everything goes ok if you do deside to have it done

please rate honestly

Hey...If you get it...Since your hair is so curly and im asuming you have high lights it will be worse then straitning it everyday! And plus...They will juss ease you into the straitener like you will probily get the one that makes your hair wavy..Then later on you will get the one that makes your hair strait..but if you get the really expensive one it will be strait automatically...But i really really dont recomend getting it perminatly straitend..VERYY bad for your hair...it will make it worse then juss straitening it everyday...Get a dry and damnaged shampoo like garnier fructis or something it will protect your hair as u straiten it! hope i helped..

Karen answered Wednesday February 16 2005, 9:29 pm:
I have never gotten a straight perm before but my friend has. It doesn't fry your hair at all; well it depends on how your hair reacts to this perm. It's alright to get a straight perm if you have highlights because it won't do anything. This made my friend's hair softer but it all depends on your hair and it won't make your hair unhealthy, unless you get it done all the time. I'm not sure how much getting a straight perm costs but it does cost quite some money. Just call up your hair salon and ask how much it costs getting it done. Hope I helped :)

I did but my hairs only 11 inches long. It doesn't fry your hair. It's fine to get with highlights. It made my hair a little softer but I have really stiff hair. I'm not really sure how much it costs my mom paid for it.
