Shortie8959 answered Saturday February 12 2005, 11:35 am: Crunches are like sit-ups, only you don't go up all the way. You put your hands behind your head or crossed in front of you, and lift your head, neck, and upper back up, then go back down and repeat. I would do 20-30 a day, then increase them once you get used to it. Good luck!
Hope I helped!

Karen answered Saturday February 12 2005, 11:22 am: Crunches are an abdominal exercise and they are just like sit ups except you put both of your hands behind your head and just lift your torso up and down, while your legs are up. You repeat this for a while and you can then increase the amount of sets you do. If you go to this link, it will explain how to do crunches better: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location). If you go to this link, you can find out how to do other crunches and abdominal exercises: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location). Hope I helped :)
