Not very many places around here hire 14-year-olds. They barely hire 15-year-olds because you are so limited to the things you can do. I guess you could try a fast food place but you won't get very many hours because of what you can/can't do. I'm guessing they don't have detasseling in CT. Thats one thing you could do, but I kind of doubt they have that up there.

You can get a lot of jobs. I believe the law is that you have to be 14 to work at a store or something. You could be a checkout person at a store. You could get a job at McDonalds or something. Good luck!

You can always try and get ahold of your local newspaper and be a paper delivery girl/boy....or you can maybe ask a familys friend or relative to work under the counter a couple days a week...then theres babysitting and maybe tutoring at your school...

You can work at fast food joints like Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, Burger King, etc. Those are the only places that I know where you can work at the age of 14 because at other places, you have to be 16 years old in order to work. Hope I helped :)
