Losing a few pounds What would be a quick way to lose a few pounds? I can't do anything outside because of all of the snow, and I'm not allowed to run for at least a week because I have a concusion. So what else can I do like inside?

If you just want to lose it for a little while go onto the Atkins diet. On that diet if you follow it you lose it fast, but once you start eating regular again you'll gain it all back. To put it off and keep it off eat well and try some exercise tapes or programs you'll stay with. Hope I helped a little. ~*AmAnDa*~ ]
well if you want to lose weight in a short amount of time you will gain it back because your body isnt use to that weight so you have to lose a little in like one month ]

Well, you can change your eating habits. If you cut out 250 calories everyday, you can lose a pound in one week. Also you can buy an exercise video, or just do it the old-fashioned way and exercise yourself.

Eat balanced meals, dont diet or omit any specific food group but minimise saturated fats. If you do little excercise then you should reduce your calorie intake accordingly. Make sure that you eat a few hundred cals below what you burn. Now, someone wrote something about the importance of keeping an elevated metabolism (the drink water advice). Water is important, but your metabolism is also driven by the availability of food. If you eat often then your metablolism will work faster and vive versa. Therefore the thing to do is to eat many small balanced meals every day (4-6). The big breakfast and nothing else idea does not sound right to me. As for indoor excercises, I would normally advise resitance training as the ultimate weight loss tool (again because it raises your metabolism in ways aerobic exericse cannot). However, if you have a concusion than the change in eating habits is the way to go I guess. ]
Eat very little by eating very slow. Don't gulp your food down, take your time...at least allow 2 minutes lapse between each intake. This is a sure way to lose weight because you feel full halfway into your meal. There are some people who'll say that you'll get 'gas' but that's not true, and if you're paranoid, drink lots of liquid before you eat or take beano before you do...you'll definitely lose weight. ]

Your metabolism is the bio-mechanical process that breaks food down and turns it into energy. In a nutshell, it consumes calories. Since metabolism is your best ally in the frontline against weight, you want it to be working at full speed. Water is the fuel that drives metabolism's chemical reactions. So, if you're not drinking enough, you won't burn as many calories as you can. Simple.Try that for a day or two it isnt easy, but it works have a big breakfast then just drink water all day. ]
If you eat healthy and watch what you eat, you will lose a few pounds in a few weeks. Try doing yoga; it helps you lose weight because my friend has been doing yoga and she lost some weight. Hope I helped :)

try doing situps, and dancing...if you dance alot, you lose weight,trust me on that one!!

pilates is one way of losing weight or even working out. it takes time though to lose weight. you can look on the web for more info on pilates or go to your local library on a book or even get a movie on how to do pilates. it's not easy but it's a great way to lose weight and a great way to strenghthen your powerhouse. good luck!
