Yes. You can always change your mind about bringing charges against someone, but think of the effect that will have on the other two women. You're telling them that abuse doesn't matter, and that you will not support them. You're letting a child abuser off the hook.

If anything, I think you following through on this would teach your children that it is always worth standing up for what is right, no matter the cost.

i know your children are a huge responsibility but think of it this way: if this happened to one of your 3 children, wouldnt you want them to fight to get this creep that SEXUALLY ASSULTED them (well...you...but we are looking at in a differnt view)! in jail! i would! I would find a way to keep your kids lives as normal as possible...an after school day-care, or a baby sitter, or going home after school with a friend when yuo have to be gone for the whole day. Honestly, you should have pressed charges earlier, but better now then never!! JUst be there for your kids, but make sure you do whats right for you, them, and all the other girls out in the world: PUT THAT PERV. IN JAIL! xoErica

yes u can drop your charges just tell your legal representation.....i know it might not be my place, but i think you should go through with the case because what would happen if your children were put in the same situation....would you as their mother rather have them move on or would you rather as a mother have justice be served??

You can get the charges dropped. Although I don't think you should. You were sexual assulted and he should be arrested for it. Don't let him get away with it, especially something like this that you've been fighting with so long.
