i know it's still possible to get pregnant when you have your period, but say someone has sex during her period, preferably near the END (and still wears a condom) will that lessen her chance of conceiving? or is there a certain day where you are highly likely to get pregnant?
brown23 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 9:35 pm: you can almost always only get preganant when you are ovulating. when you are having your period that has already happened for that cycle. And yes, you can have sex while you are having your period, as long as your partner doesn't mind the extra umm lumbrication.
hope this helps.

sharpcheddar110 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 4:56 pm: as long as none of the semen goes into your canal, your good. say if the condom broke or something than it doesn't matter when you have sex. that's why it's always good to have anal sex during your period. it doesn't get bloody and you don't have to worry about getting pregnant! alisonmarie answered Sunday January 16 2005, 4:19 pm: Okay. Here's what you need to do. Get a calender and circle every day you have your period. The first day of your period is, easily enough, Day One.
Count how many days there are until your next period; 28 days is an average for many women. Your most fertile time frame is during ovulation, which happens mid-cycle.
This means that you are most likely to get pregnant just before, on, and after Day 14 of your cycle. You can, however, get pregnant at any point during the month. [ alisonmarie's advice column | Ask alisonmarie A Question ]

becki817 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 9:50 am: I mean I guess it is possible to get pregnant but i think that it is very unlikely because usually an ovum isnt released until like two weeks after you have your period and that is usually when you can fertilize i think around day 14 or something. And there is really only a 24 hour period when you can fertilize the egg... so i dont think that you are pregnant. =) hope I helped.
kristen22 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 12:53 am: Yes there are days in the month were you are more likely to get pregnant. This is during the 4-5 days after your period has finished. That is when your body is ovualting. You'll know when you are b/c your body will be 1/2 or 1 degree higher in tempature than normal and will remain that way till your body is through ovulating. qotsa369 answered Sunday January 16 2005, 12:04 am: I dont see how you could get pregnant while on your period. But anywho if your gonna use a condom don't do it on your period becaues thats gross. And of course wearing a condom will lessen your chance of getting pregnant. Wow the more I look at it, your just dumb and should have never asked that question. MFS answered Saturday January 15 2005, 11:06 pm: If a condom was used, and used properly, and it doesn't break, and there were no leaks, what's the question here? What does someone having their period have to do with it at that point? If you're using protection properly, the menstrual cycle is irrelevant. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
