emotional

Question Posted Tuesday January 11 2005, 11:41 am

All of a sudden, I've become EXTREMELY emotional. I just watched Titanic, and I cried and cried and cried. I watched Homeward Bound the Incredible Journey with a kid I babysat with, and when the animals came home I was choked up. What's wrong with me? 13/F

It's called hormones.. and mood swings.. fun eh? yea.. they come with peuberty, and you should talk to your mom or parent about this, they will probably be more helpful about this kind of thing.

One word... Hormones. It's normal for this kind of stuff to happen at your age.

Plus some people say "Titanic" is a sad movie. I thought it was funny. Especially when Lover boy becomes a popsicle at the end.

But stuff like that will be happening to you. you wil be alot more emotional in the next few years. Blame those darned hormones.

It could also be if something is going on with your life, something totally unrelated to runaway animals and doomed cruises. If you've experienced any losses in your life you might find yourself crying for what seems like a petty reason. If that's true for you, you might want to talk to a trusted adult or even consider seeing a grief counselor or your pastor if you're a churchgoer.

You're 13? Puberty probably. lol. It's also just emotions.. there are just times when you feel the need to cry, maybe about OTHER things.. and you let it out while watching a sad movie or such. Maybe it's because the movies are just sad! :-p Also, as you get older, and begin to understand true meanings of things in movies, you'll know you're crying because of what something really means instead of just what you think now is nothing. I cried when I saw Titanic the 3RD time, not even the first.. so it's normal.

Nothing is wrong with you...it's normal to feel emotion. Maybe if you laughed through the movies..well then you have a problem. Try not to watch many movies that make you cry, if you don't want to cry. Hope I helped!

If you laughed through these movies, there'd be something wrong with you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, other than you are growing up. I watch Extreme Home Makeover every Sunday night just to cry into 2-3 Kleenexes and I'm not abnormal. Actually, it's healthy to cry, as long as it's not uncontrollable. Hope I helped.

When you're going through puberty your emotions go all over the place. It is perfectly normal to have suddenly become so emotional at this age and it will probably pass. There is definitely nothing wrong with you.
