Question Posted Saturday January 8 2005, 9:27 pm

I have 2 questions...
1) How can I decide what college I want to go to? I know I have to apply to a few, but, you know how everyone has there heart set on one, how can I pick one for me?
2) And, is there any kind of quiz online I can take to give me some good results on a career I could go into? I'm dumbfound when it comes to what I want to be and go to college for.

Question 1: Find out what you're remotely interested in at the time. If you have nothing, then go to college and major in undecided. Plenty of people do it. Few have their heart set on any college and you just kind of wing it ya know.

Question 2: You can build a bomb online. I'm sure you can take a test online about interests and colleges and stuff. Everybody who goes into college doesn't know immediately what they want to be. Don't lose sleep over it. I have a 25 year old cousin who still doesn't know what she wants. It's kool. I don't know either.

You just have to decide what kind of things you want to do and look online for colleges that provide the training for that. Sorry, I don't know of any websites. Good luck!
Hope I helped!

My sister is going through the same thing. She's been thinking of what areas she wants to be in and if she wants to go to a big or small college. Just think of all aspects of college that will interest you and that should help narrow it down. Also, look at some college campuses and maybe you can see what kind of environmeny you are interested in. I know there are quizzes with what careers would be good, but I can't remember any. I think one of them is www.careercruising.com, but I'm not sure. Sorry if I didn't help. Also, talk to your guidance counselor about everything.

*Hey sweetie!
Welp, I've been there done that! I'm going to a tech college my first year, but next year I'm going to University of South Carolina. Anyways, It was really hard for me to decide, and it really depends on what you want to take in college to depend on the college. I wanted to go to a law school, and USC was the best one in South Carolina. If you go to www.collegehelp.com (I think that's the website, if not use a search on yahoo, Sorry! ) It really will help. You can also ask somebody at your highschool/or work, where ever you are coming from about some of their career goals. If you are in high school, try going to a guidence counsiler and maybe she could help you about some of the college decions. Well...good luck. Have a wonderful night! :) Bye doll!
