I have this friend who has serious insomnia and she has this cd that helps relax her.. its some type of hypnotic cd... you could ask a cd store... and it comes with steps that help you fall asleep for example clearing your mind and telling everypart of your body to go asleep.. it really works.. you should try it. Also when you are trying to fall asleep try not to think of stuf.. dont try to think of stuff.... hope i helped.

BlackAngel answered Sunday January 2 2005, 2:49 pm: Hey, I used to have the same problem. It took a rather long time to get over it, but 2 things I found to at least help me relax enough to get SOME sleep were:
1) running freezing water on your wrists for a few minutes before you go to bed. I think it like slows down the blood to more of the pace it should be when you're sleeping.
2) White Chestnut. It's a liquid that basically has well, white chestnut extract in it. There's something about the extract that helps you relax. You can get it at co-ops, it's usually over in the medication/natural remedy section.
Just another thought that might work, a spin off of the reading: pick something really boring to read (I used my algebra textbook, that sure put me to sleep)
If this gets really bad, or continues even after you try everything you can think of, tell you parents and ask them to make a doctor's appoinment for you. The dr.s can probably give you something that just plain knocks you out for a while. [ BlackAngel's advice column | Ask BlackAngel A Question ]
sohojules26 answered Sunday January 2 2005, 2:10 pm: Try a medicine like Tylenal PM, or even take byendrel, becuase it makes you tired. If nothing else seems to work, its time to see your doctor=) [ sohojules26's advice column | Ask sohojules26 A Question ]
