Re-doing bedroom
I am a 15/female and am redoing my bedroom (besides my furniture.) The furniture I currently have is like a beige color. My carpet is also beige and my walls are bare and white. My room is fairly large. Right now the design is like roses, but not cute ones, like old lady roses. I want to make the room more teenagerish, less my parents designing it when I was in second grade. Please, any ideas for my room or if you are a teenage girl, could you tell me what your room is like. All advice would be enjoyed! Thank you!!

well my room is a light lavender with one wall lavender and sky blue vertical stripes. my room is the size of most people's closets appx 7x9 so the stripes made it look like it had a higher ceiling. bright colors look nice. you might like a surfer beach theme. your beige carpet could be like the sand and you can paint the walls a light blue for the sky. if you go to pbteen.com they will have a wave mural too. just some ideas

Colours are really cool, but DON'T over colour it. Cute photo frames, where you can put your fav. Pictures in are really cool. All kinds of pillows on your bed are really cool. And they have so many different pillows that you just can pick your fav ones out. Keep your walls white though. You can put some silly colours (your fav colour?) on the walls with some simple stripes (NOT TO MUCH!!). soft rugs are really nice, you can just lay down on it it's great! They have them in all kinds of colours, and prints, so take your fav one!. You should keep your room bright, so not to much Furniture. I don't know if you want to change your furniture, but if you do, not TO dark, and not to colourful. You can also get a really cool calendar they have so many! But keep your floor clean and simple, colours are great! Just not to much, cause that will get bored sooner or later. You can also buy a memoboard and stuff it full with memo's and your fav pictures cut out of magazines.

if you have a bigger budget then put in some hardwood or the laminate hardwood stuff to break up the beige, and dont go to wild with the color or youll get sick of it, do greens or blues, purple, or if you do want it brighter dont paint all the walls the same color, paint one or two the bright color and keep the others white, look for the beding and accesories first so that you can use them to find theme colors and the perfect shade for you, its easier than finding the shade then the stuff

hey, my room is purple and lime green. i wouldnt do bright colors. you get sick of them really fast. i would also go and find a bed spred first and then find your colors.

You should have a light blue room. Then you would have more choices to put with it. You can have a light purple comforter, and maybe put desings on the wall.

paint the walls with a vibrant color that screams you and add some fun pillows or rugs. I'm not sure what your budget is but maybe you could get mirrors of different shapes and sizes and arrange them in a pattern that will catch your eye

Why not paint your walls pastal colours or bright colours like yellow,green,red,purple hope ive help oh and why not add some candels and some fluffy pillows

You could paint it your favorite color then go to pier 1 imports and get lots of cool stuff to match..but thats kinda spendy..walmart and target have lots of cool stuff to for a resonable price. My room is small so i can't fit much in there. But its purple, green, blue and lavender. I have a sorta square pattern comforter from walmart and im going to get a rug to match. My walls are purple but im going to paint each wall a different color...thats an idea..and we just moved in so im still workin on it..i have a desk and a shelving unit thing..but my room is boring..if you need anyother ideas just ask me! well, making your room something that you will enjoy is sometimes hard to do. i mean my room, i want to remodel also cause besides being fun to do..i also want to make it more me. well, you can get like pretty colors for your wall,hang posters up&just make it something that relates to your personality. i mean your personality must be great so make it great just like yoU! Uhm well my room has mostly dolphins and shit..like cause my fav. animal is dolphins so im in love with em lol but make it homey, ask your friends to help you ..get some perspective! Just have fun while doing it..make it a friend project! =] hope i helped!

I love animal print, fake fur though, and so I have a cheetah-print bedspread and sheets and pillows and a chair. My Uncle splatter-painted my walls too. I have posters up of singers and I have two collages I've made. I also have stuff hanging from the ceiling, like a butterfly and windchimes, one from Hawaii and one from my parents. My carpet is boring, gray, and I have cd's and lots of pictures...thats pretty much it, and I also have a computer in my room. :)

I did my room when i watched cribs on MTV--beyonce's room. lol it has red walls with purple rectangles with gold waves and circles in them. so ya, just use your imagination. pick your favorite color and start from there. Target has a lot of really cool teenager-ish room decorations.

hey! well all this depends on what you like and how drastically you want to change your room. if you don't want to do too much painting, try adding a cute wallpaper or border that accents another color or design in your room. but if you want to have an awesome time painting your room, try spongepainting or splattering your walls. also, make sure the theme and/or colors you choose for you room are something you'll like for years to come becuase you'll be looking at it everyday, I'm guessing. Check out Pottery Barn Teen or www.pbteen.com<very cool furniture/accesories for your room. I never buy stuff from them but I got some ideas from their magazine and it turned out pretty awesome!:)have fun!

I just redid my room because we moved and i painted it pink and not a pale pink...but a bold pink. And i have whit floting selves and white furniture. Also some cool ideas and you can get plain stuff then get some stickers and stuff from a craft store and decorate things yourself! I have stacked picture boxes that were white and i decorated them. I and cute little tables around with small candles and stuff on them. Hope you get some ideas from this!!

Hey hun! My room is purple, and it's got hardwood flooring, and a little rug over certain spots. I have a daybed, and a desk. You should get posters, or make your room another color, because color definitely makes a room more you! You should also get more things like a teddy bear or 2, or other little cute things like that. Or, you could look at your friend's rooms, and ask them, maybe they know and can help! I hope I helped.
