Do crunches really work?

Question Posted Friday December 31 2004, 10:45 am

I'm 13/f and I'm a little over 105 pounds. This is pretty normal, and I'm happy with my body, but my tummy has been a little pouchy lately and I want to know how trim it down because my uniform for track is spandex and is really tight and I don't like my stomach sticking out. If you have any ideas what I can do-----plz help!!!!!!

SIT UPS!!!! that is the cure for any tummy...try different exercises like to the side and with your legs straight up...all you need is motivation and time...do about 100 a day...and if you really want to push it, use a weight on your chest..that works really well...listen to music too...it helps pass time...

You can do crunches, situp, and any other abdominal exercises. You can also jog or run on a tredmill. I think riding a bike or anything along that line targets your abs too but I'm not sure. Hope I helped :)
