Hey you sound just like me! One way to start a career is to form a band if you want to, write songs and play gigs at fairs, festivals and so on. This is the way most gutairists, rock bands/ singers, funk bands/singers, ect start.
Another way is to film yourself singing and post the video to a recording company (these adresses can be found on your CDs, but it is a good idea to post to companies in the country that you live in) or a talent/singing competition. Don't be shy, blow those peoples minds! You know you can.

record yourself and then send it in. you can get the addresses to label companies on any CD case, on the little book thing inside. Just make a recording of you singing, put the tape in a manilla envelope and send it off. It may get heard, and it may not, all you can do is hope. good luck to ya, and when youre rich and famous, remember that stefnie (UWishUHadMyHemi) helped you out when you posted a question on an online advice site. maybe you could slip me a few bucks ;) ;) well anyways.. good luck with your career. ~*stefnie
