As for bleaching it is a continuing lightening process, not for eternity, but it bleaches until it can bleach no more. If your a dark blonde and do want Paris Hilton blonde you will probally need to bleach it. That's the only way you could probally achieve such a light color. As for an already light blonde I'm sure dye would work. (note: if there is any brunettes reading this you will need a lot of bleach because if you don't have enough you hair will turn an odd orangeish color. I've seen it happen) x0Casandra [ x3aSkMe's advice column | Ask x3aSkMe A Question ]
roxy_gurl2164 answered Thursday December 30 2004, 12:54 am: well, if you bleach it, it will be permanent. dying it is only temporary. i would go with dying it, that way if you don't like it it will only stay for a month or two. hope this helps. PrettyPinkBeastie answered Monday December 27 2004, 9:39 am: Haha whoaaa back up...bleaching your hair is SO SO SO bad for it especially if your friend is going to do it! It will be all gross and white, and it will get all frizzy and poofy and nasty from the really really strong chemicals...if you are going to go blonder, I suggest dying it perhaps one shade lighter of blonde to see how you like it if you are going to do an at-home-kit. Otherwise, for a drastic color, go to a hair salon! DON'T RISK RUINING YOUR HAIR!

TiCkLeD_pInK540 answered Sunday December 26 2004, 10:58 pm: Dying is using a color. bleaching is using a substance that extracts color. I suggest dying. Bleaching is much mor harmful and if your hair is frizzy it can increase frizz. When you bleach your hair, you hair soaks up the bleach which makes your hair swell because of the intake of bleach which makes your hair more poofy and frizzy. I highly suggest dying your hair, it keeps it at the same frizz level and doesn't damage your hair nearly as much. Which ever you choose, make sure you condition you hair very thoroughly to protect you hair. I hope i've been as helpful as possible. Good Luck!
Always,

lollypopgurl769 answered Sunday December 26 2004, 10:05 pm: well it depends on what kind of hair dye you use. some dyes have bleach in them. bleached is really really really bad for your hair! there are other ways to lighten your hair. there's this thing called touch of sun, it works *wonders!* You spray it in, just like you would with hairspray and when you blow-dry or when you're out in the sun, you're hair becomes lighter. its between ($4.00-$10.50 >> depending on where you buy it!) you can buy it at your local DRUGSTORES, CVS, WALGREENS, BEAUTY PLACES ... ETC. also, that John Freida stuff lightens your hair a lot. its betwenn $5 and $15 bucks =} ... its conditioner, shampoo, gel, etc and they have the special chemical also, that lightens your hair, without the damage! ;)`~ [ lollypopgurl769's advice column | Ask lollypopgurl769 A Question ]
bAhAmAmA0250 answered Sunday December 26 2004, 9:50 pm: Dye it. Bleach is more harmful and it makes it more blonde like almost white.. just depending on dark your hair was before. Dying it you can do any color. bleachin basically strips the color from your hair and dyin doesn't it adds color happy holidays! rate me plz trix [ bAhAmAmA0250's advice column | Ask bAhAmAmA0250 A Question ]
Karen answered Sunday December 26 2004, 9:38 pm: Bleached is just like ordinary bleach except for your hair and it's whiten and I mean whiten your hair (blonde white not white white). Dyed is just regular color and all the process! Definitely get it dyed blonde instead of bleached because sometimes, bleaching your hair doesn't look the great on some people. Hope I helped :)

liddylflirtx3 answered Sunday December 26 2004, 9:36 pm: I'm really not to sure that you should bleach your hair. Bleaching it can really damage your hair - So stick with a really light blonde shade when dying it. There's a million hair dying kits that you can get that will probably turn out just like Paris's =) [ liddylflirtx3's advice column | Ask liddylflirtx3 A Question ]
