Just leave it alone. DO NOT TOUCH IT! Try avoid chewing on that side because it will not only iritate you but also your sore. That's all I know and I hope it helps!

Ugh, I hate those types of sores! Try gargling water with salt but try not to swallow it! It helps so much. Make sure you let both the salt and water touch the sore on the inside of your lip! Hope I helped :)

Well there are some things that could cause the cold sore but there are numbing things and swelling medications that can help with that. If nothing works go see a doctor.

If its on the inside of your mouth it is probably not a cold sore....I've gotten these things before... I was told to gargle with warm salt water a couple times a day and it will eventually go away... Hope this helped.. ~*Jackie~*

Hey. It sounds like a canker sore, which SUCK! Try gargling with salt water or Listerine, it will burn, but it really helps!! Good luck!

Well,if it's on the INSIDE of your lip,as in on your gums, you can always try Anbesol,and/or Orajel, and they make special types for mouth sores. They will help to numb them up,and heal them a little faster.Other than that, they unfortunately just have to heal and go away on their own. Also, stay away from pop, orange juice, and other acidic type drinks for a little while. :(

If you have braces, put dental wax over the piece of metal that is causing irritation.

You can also go to the store and purchase cold sore cream for very cheap. (Usually under $2.)

And, as always, if you are sexually active please make sure it is not an STD.
