Hi, right off the bat if you know nothing about the looks of classic cars from the early 70's and back dont even respond, if your going to respond just to say a color and dont know what a valiant looks like, go to google and type in 1968 valaint and look for one you lazy bum, but onto the question. Does anyone know of any good colors to paint a 1968 Valiant100 4 door sedan. i do ont want two tone, nor do i want metallica, also i do not want strips just one straight color that you think looks good on a valiant, you can also look at my profile picture and you will see my car.
Additional info, added Sunday December 19 2004, 4:03 am: Nvm about the picture on my fiel, its to big to load up so just look up the car on the internet. Made worse by the fact that black will show every wave and flaw in the sheet metal. If you paint it dark blue, it will look like a government car... Powder blue is hard to go wrong with. They called it Hawiian Blue, and it seems like it was the most popular color for about 8 years.
I like the brilliant yellow color, they called it Sunfire yellow.

Draak answered Sunday December 19 2004, 11:24 am: I used to own a 71 Duster, and even though it was covered in primer, I never got the chance to paint it the midnight metallic that I wanted. But since you have a boxier version of the valiant series I think it's a good idea to keep it simple. My color suggestions would be white or a nonmetallic gold since both look good with lots of chrome. ***Edit: I am partial to midnight though!
