travel expenses

I've recently paid the funeral expenses for my father's funeral out of the estate account. ($10,000)....should any travel expenses be paid to family members ( out of state)....???

Is there a travel allowance ??

ok..so are you saying..you are trying to expense out..a funeral trip???Like you pay the family member to come?? or reimbursed??

I do not think there is a section for this..but I would go on the IRS website and ask them. Or your aacountant...but i am going to say no...unless it is a voluntary thing YOU want to do out of your poecket.

It is up to you. Most family members should be able to get a bereavement discount on their airfare. I don't think its required, but if one of your family members is having a particular hardship, it would be very nice of you. Unless it is required in the will, you don't have to do it.

No, people coming to a funeral are there to be supportive, you have no obligations to them. In fact, if they have proper ettique they should be giving you money with their sympothy cards to help pay for the funeral.

No, you shouldnt have to plus its a funeral everybody should come anyways.. and you want a nice funeral for your dad. Or if you think that your dad wants me to have the money then.. well im here.. its what you dad would have wanted i think.
