Siren_Cytherea answered Sunday December 5 2004, 3:39 pm: I think it depends on the type - and "strength" - of tampon you use. For instance, I used to use playtex slimfits, but I ended up with the same problem you have, so I tried Tampax Pearl (those are good, by the way) and had no leak issues. I'd suggest you try a different brand of tampon and strength. If your period is heavy, it may leak. Tampons don't always get totally covered with blood, so that part's normal. Also, when you're on your period, if it's heavy, I suggest wearing some sort of minipad just in case you leak. It's not abnormal to leak, just annoying. I hope this helps!

ChArMeDnUt answered Sunday December 5 2004, 1:35 pm: Either you need to go up a size, or you are putting it in wrong. Try pulling it a little farther down, because maybe it is in their too far and the blood just goes around it, hitting only the sides and the bottom. I really hope that heps, if not im me if you have more ?'s. my sn is Strawberryblnd98. good luck! [ ChArMeDnUt's advice column | Ask ChArMeDnUt A Question ]
sunkistsarah answered Sunday December 5 2004, 11:57 am: you need to use super tampons (if you don't already) and put a thin panty liner (not pads, they are to thick) in your underwear...i hate pad but sometimes i use panty liners and you cant feel them....hope this helps! aNgeLxfOrEvEr answered Sunday December 5 2004, 10:38 am: You could move up a size (like if you are using regular go to super, etc.) or you could wear a pantyliner. If you only leak a little that will work, but if you are leaking a lot, wear a pad. If you leak, then your underwear won't get anything on it. There's not much else you can do about it :/ [ aNgeLxfOrEvEr's advice column | Ask aNgeLxfOrEvEr A Question ]
FrEe2bMe answered Sunday December 5 2004, 10:23 am: Okay, don't worry too much; here's what you can do.
-Make sure your tampon is inside of you as far as possible
-You may want to go up a size (ie: if using slim fits try going to regular because the size you are using is leaving space for the blood to trickle down.
-And lastly, this "leaking" may still come, and if it does, try wearing a panty liner, or thin maxi pad along with the tampon so that way your undies stay clean and if it leaks you can just pull the liner off.
