Genius101 answered Monday November 22 2004, 8:39 pm: Ok. Depending on how serious the sprain is(you should be able to tell if it is minor or serious)depending on swelling or pain. if it is at least 1 week resent then ice it. it should take at least 2 to 4 weeks to heal completely. as far as track goes about 1 week after the injury you should be ok to start doing smaller amounts of activity.Dont push your self to hard but physical activity increases blood flow, and the more blood to the area the faster it should heal. hope i helped. SeaWorldGirl61692 answered Monday November 22 2004, 8:13 pm: No, I wouldn't run on it after it was sprained. You should wait a while. Your ankle should take a couple weeks. A few tips on caring for it would be, Keep it elevated, keep it iced, eat lots of calcium. Hope I helped [ SeaWorldGirl61692's advice column | Ask SeaWorldGirl61692 A Question ]
