I know a lot of people that are like thiss.. You may just need to get some more confidence. I used to just kick the ball anywhere .. I think it was mainly because I was afraid that I couldn't do it. Sometimes you just get intimidated. You should try to get as much practice as you can. Maybe you can try to join other soccer leagues too. The more you play, the better you get. You can get some people off of your soccer team to practice with you. Have them play defense and just try to dribble it down the field. You can try dribbling around cones to gain ball control. Even ask your soccer coach for help. I hoped I've been a helppp. =]

finally someone who loves soccer as much as i do. there is this excercise i used to do.
1) i used to kick the ball in between my feet. like back and forth, but i couldnt let it go anywhere else. usually this helps ball control.
i am still nervous about kicking balls and i cant really aim but if there is no one around (close enough to get the ball away from me) i take my time and look and see who is there so i can pass it. but if everyone is around i get a quick peek, and kick whereever my color is. ok that must have not helped. all i can say to stop your nervousness is just to keep practicing and eventually you will hopefully get over it! good luck

well, i've been playin soccer for 11 years. my friend and i train together. the easiest way to get ball control is to line up parralell to a wall (pretty long wall is better), run along side the wall (about 5 feet away to start) pass the ball against the wall, then gain control of it again. as you get better, move closer to the wall.

There's no way to get better other than practicing. Stick with it. You could practice dribbling around cones or doing other dribbling moves and then shooting at a certain target. Try to think like you are in a practice or by yourself, when you have the ball. Try to find a way to calm yourself down that works before a game and stick with it.

ok...i have played soccer since i was 5... 8 years of soccer for me.. i am obsessed with it lol...ok so make sure you practice juggling at least 30 minutes every day...that really helps... just practice dribbling...do alot of sprints.. sprint 5 minutes then cool down...10 minutes of sprinting is better than a 3 mile jog.. ;)
hope i helped

the best way to get ball control and good aim is to kick the ball for 20 minutes or so everyday off your garage or the side of your house, back and forth. try trapping and and kicking it again, its better then dragging a friend or family member outside for target practice.. sounds crazy but you'll get good control and power.

Well, first of all, you need to be more confident! just stretch a little longer than you would regularly and try to crack your legs, neck, fingers(throw-ins), your back, and arms. BELIEVE me...it helps.

Hey Bud,
I play on Varsity as a sophmore for my High School team. The biggest thing to do is work on foot skills, if you dont have them, you wont get too far. Start by getting some cones and set them a few feet apart from each other, and dribble in between them. The most impostant thing to do tho, is practice! Good Luck!
