dont let him control their family! just distract him and take the food away. make sure you only give it to him about 3 times a day on a schedule. he should get used to it and stop.

have the dog brought to the pound. this dog will otherwise stay like this forever. it is important that the dog stops biting people.

if the dog has bite through your skin or tried to this is a big problem. if i were you i wouldn't go over your friends house. just tell your friend that you're uncomfortable being around a dog that could hurt you.

i don't mean to say this wrong but take this from someone who knows. when a dog starts to do stuff like that, that usually mean that the dog is getting old and tired. maybe your friend shouls stop feeding the dog as much. im not saying to put the dog on a starvation diet but to gove the dog a little less food.

feed him only once a day if full grown ((if styll a puppy.... twice)) take him for walks.. and when shes ging to give him some food.. make him do something for it.. lyke sit.. lay down.. speak.. shake... something like that... and if that doesnt work.. maybe hes just old
hope i could help

Your friends dog is very possesively aggressive. You really need to see or at least talk to a professional dog behavioral specialist. If you don't fix this problem, then your dog will bite a stranger sooner or later. Whether it's a small child or an adult, you will have to euthanize him.
