the movie thirteen..
Hey guys. I'm 14 and I am dying to see the movie Thirteen. I've read the script and I've seen almost every clip there is to see on the internet! The movie is rated R though. I'm pretty sure I can convince my mom to let me see it, but she'd want to see it too.. and the movie has parts where Tracey cuts herself. I cut myself also, and I do not want her to catch on about my self injuries until I'm ready to tell her. Any ideas on what I should do?

alrite first of all..cuttin your self..wut for..its not worth it and you cud like kill yourself..and about the movie..i mean tell your mom tht you like it and you wanna see it..if she questions you..tell her tht you do..you have to get help...its not good to cut yourself and its not worth it..theres other ways you can get yah pain out..and it not cuttin.

I think you should tell your mom you cut yourself, then go to the movie. That way she will know you cut yourself and she can see how this girl cuts herself and how she handles it. I think it would be a good idea if you just tell you mother then not tell her.

i have seen that movie it is really good! anywayz u should talk to movie and convince her to let u c it w/ a friend of something.If not try to c it w/ like a sister or something. that can make things better. the movie, i will admit, is pretty bad, but i think ur old enough to handle it.

i've seen the movie and in the end her mom finds out. i think it would be a whole lot easier if u tell her yourself. i'm not saying right away but when your ready. as you probably know cutting is a very serious problem and you shouldn't keep doing it. i think u should really tell your mom as soon as possible. i hope i've helped you, and good luck

Well...dont say anything about it then. Just be like oh my friends told me it was a great movie to learn by. If you dont feel comfortable then dont tell her. But honestly, when I did..I felt horrible about myself. I told my mom and she almost died, even though it wasnt because of her. She felt it was all her fault and she got me help. and im so much better because of her, because i was honest to my mom. because i knew she cared and she would want to know over me keep on hurting myself.

stop cutting. please? go to a counselor, tell your mom, and stop. i'm sorry if this doesn't answer your movie question, but life is a bit more important than any movie. besides you're never going to be "ready to tell her" so it's best to just seek help and stop. it almost seems like the fact that you cut doesn't bother you, but that your mom may find out, does. it may not seem like that big of a deal to you, but i guess it just affects me more because i have a friend who tried to commit suicide by cutting his wrists. so please get help soon.

If you have an older cousin that you get along with and dont see as much go with him/her. That way if you dont see them that much they wont know. You might want to go to counseling about you cutting yourself, it could lead to serious damage.

maybe watch it at a friends house or get a 17-year-old friend to get it for you or... wear a long sleeve shirt while your watching it with your mom. or maybe tell your mom its a stupid teen movie and she probably won't like it.

She wont know you cut herself. She'll just be like "Ok Tracy is a cutter". Why would she think you are a cutter? When the part comes on just dont act different or anything
