i have a friend name lori and she likes the same the guy (alex) that i like but she doesn't know that i like him too but i know she has a little clue that i do like him. anyways he is always flirting with me and lori. lori gets me really upset and annoyed cuz she makes it seem like she and alex are going out but they aren't. lori asked me if she and alex would make a good couple and if i thought alex liked her and i said yes of course cuz it seems that way he calls her and everything. i really want to stop thinking about alex and stop talking to lori and alex which is sooo hard. i really don't know what to do if i should just forget about him and move on or just wait till him and lori go out and break up and then go out with me. i really don't know what to but i do want to stop talking to him just a lil bit that way he doesn't think i like him. so plz help!! sry if soo long! ~natalie~

I used to have a problem just like that...My friend who i liked kept telling me how much he liked one of my close friends and kept asking if they would make a cute couple and he kept telling me how much he liked her. Even though it killed me on the inside, i tried to get the two to go out because what really mattered was seeing my two friends happy...One day, like a few weeks later, he was still talking about her and i couldn't take it and i broke down...and he tried to make me feel better but it didnt' work. After a while things got better between all of us again. And now i'm going out with the guy and my other close friend has a boyfriend that she really likes so everything worked out. Stop talking to the person for a little while is good...It gives you both a break and lets you clear your head a little. In time, things will fall into place.

Hey chick...I know its majorly hard when that happens. But dont stop being friends with either of them just because you and Lori both like the same guy. If you find out that Alex likes Lori, then just try to be happy for them and do your best to get over him. If Alex likes you, then make sure its ok with Lori if you guys go out. Odds are (from what Ive heard)that she probably wont be ok with it. Just try to work it out with her! I hope this helped ya...ask me anything anytime.
