There could be a few explinations.

If she's not your best friend in the world, and she's better friends with your worst enemy, then of course that's who she's going to stick up for.

If she thinks your worst enemey was right, and you were wrong, then that could happen too.

If it was her time of month, she could've been in a real pissy mood...

If she felt bad for your worst enemy, then that could be a solution.

She could be using you for something, and maybe isn't your real friend.

Talk to her, and ask her whats up. If it's a guy friend, then forget the time of month, and I think all the others could apply to guys also

Talk to ur friend about it... maybe he/she doesnt realize that they are doing it... or maybe they simply think that u are wrong & ur enemy is rite... talk to ur friend and let em know how u feel... you'll be able to tell if he/she is a tru friend or not by the way they react...

Opposing what the other answers to this are trying to influence, violence is not the answer. Violence does, although, make a good buffer and teaches your friend not to mess with you or next time violence could be the perminant answer.
