I'm 14 / f .. I currently reside in PA. Well, the past 5 weeks have been the best weeks of my life because I haven't had to go to piano lessons. I know its a stupid theory but here goes. I hate PIANO! SO MUCH, i wasn't forced to start, but when i was 11 my best friend did it, and i wanted to be exactly like her, so i joined it. my grades have been suffering, and i think its because of piano, on sundays-wednesdays i worry about my piano lesson because my teacher is so mean. i wanna quit so bad, but how should i tell my mom, i think she knows i want to, but. i don't want her getting disapointed because i already quit band this yr because i didn't like it, she spent 1,000 dollars on a piano and shes been payin 12 dollars a week to let me go for like 3 years, what should i tell her? any help will get 5! Piano,
I too amd from Pa and I did the same thing with Karate. I started out and it turned out that my instructor was mean and I didn't like it. Did i quit karate? No. I found another school and learned there and stayed there for 5 years until I got my black belt. Then I quit.
Piano teachers aren't too hard to come by, unless you live in Beaver or Somerset or something. Hell, use a phone book, I think piano teachers are listed in the yellow pages. Hope this helps.

see i have this friend and my friend stick up for my worst enmey instead of me!! and i am super angry!!! what should i do??? (link)
Opposing what the other answers to this are trying to influence, violence is not the answer. Violence does, although, make a good buffer and teaches your friend not to mess with you or next time violence could be the perminant answer.
