Question Posted Wednesday October 27 2004, 6:09 pm
My gym shoes.. both pairs.. smell really bad.. i wear socks all the time.. and i have tried putting dr. scholls powder in them.. and odor eaters shoe spray.. but they just make them smell worse.. does anyone know a way to TOTALLY get rid of the horrible smell in my shoes?
Thanks!
p.s. I tried 3 different perfumes too.. still didnt help!!
UWishUHadMyHemi answered Thursday October 28 2004, 4:28 pm: dr. scholl's foot lotion. its made to work like deodorant. it feels really weird when you put it on, but then when it dries, it feels like a powder. and if that doesnt work, you may need to drink more water, or go see a doctor or something. KillingFrost answered Wednesday October 27 2004, 11:25 pm: perhaps its time to buy a new pair of shoes... or perhaps its not the shoes's problem, but your feet's. I've found that light acid peeling reduces the smell by 100% of course its also eats away most of the skin to, which is whats causing the stentch... but which is worse... stinky shoes or no feet... Karen answered Wednesday October 27 2004, 9:14 pm: My friend had the same problem as you do right now and she just washed her shoes in the washer machine and then put some baking soda when they dried and her sheos didn't smell after that! Just bring home your gym shoes once a week and wash them and your shoes won't smell anymore! Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
KaJabbers! answered Wednesday October 27 2004, 7:43 pm: try baking soda or baking powder when you're not wearing them. I put it under my sink in the bathroom and it totally gets rid of all the odors... i have a feeling it'll work
luck!

Now all my shoes are clean and they smell good. Hope this helped. [ xXxpinky615xXx's advice column | Ask xXxpinky615xXx A Question ]
Loverx33 answered Wednesday October 27 2004, 7:18 pm: omg, i had that problem once 2! i brought them home.. nothing worked! then i asked my mom if she would wash them for me, and she did, and now they smell lovely, lol. wash them in the washing mahcine, or laundry mat (if yu dont have a washa), then put the dr sholls powder to keep them refreshed.
LoViny0ux914 answered Wednesday October 27 2004, 7:12 pm: you prolly mixed too many scents. take them home and put them in the washing machine and wash them like you would with clothes and then dry them in the drier. sounds wierd i kno but my bro did it and it worked like a charm! if theres still a problem go 2 the doc and he'll give you this special stuff! x0x [ LoViny0ux914's advice column | Ask LoViny0ux914 A Question ]
