I am 16 years old and a female. I am 5'2 1/2 and 93 lbs. I am very thin but not sick looking. I don't really eat like I'd call normal. I eat like once or twice a day normally but sometimes three. I am just never hungry most of the time and I am typically a light eater. The odd thing is last year I was like 115-120 lbs and then a few months ago I was 98 and now I'm 93 lbs. Is there something wrong?

orphans answered Monday October 11 2004, 4:30 pm: Alas, I am not a doctor, but I think you should schedule an appointment with someone who is more skilled in medicine than people on Advincenators. Maybe it's nothing serious, but I'm really not the one to diagnose that. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

My brother is 16 and hes like 6'0 and he only weighs like 145 becuz he swims ALL THE TIME and he loses ALOT of weight. Just try and eat more and if your weight doesn't come up more maybe you should see your doctor.
~*Annie*~ answered Monday October 11 2004, 12:25 am: Sorry, but you are a little underweight. But keep in mind that this can be normal, especially if you have been growing and developing normally, have a healthy diet, and are active and energetic. Talk to your parents or doctor before jumping to conclusions about your weight.
Also, try getting into the habit of eating 3 square meals a day. [ ~*Annie*~'s advice column | Ask ~*Annie*~ A Question ]
xokaylanicoleox answered Sunday October 10 2004, 10:57 pm: wow .. i think you arent as hungry anymore bc you dont eat a lot and your stomach shrinks when you dont eat as much so you arent as hungry as you normally would ... it isnt healthy for you to be that thin ... im 5ft and weigh 95 lbs and i dont think it would be healthy for me to be very much skinnier but i eat normally. just try eating a little bit more and gain maybe 5 lbs. it will make you a lot healthier. i hope i helped! -kayla [ xokaylanicoleox's advice column | Ask xokaylanicoleox A Question ]

Karen answered Sunday October 10 2004, 10:47 pm: Nope, there's nothing wrong, as long as you eat, you are fine! I think the reason why you body has changed so much is that maybe your metabolism is faster or your body just makes you lose weight. If I were you, I would ask your doctor about this! Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
