Trevor-Wolf answered Monday October 4 2004, 11:28 pm: Yeah, what you found online is pretty accurate. But the real suggested amount is about 10 grams for every 20 pounds of body weight, and some suggest that if you are an adult, like 16 or so and over, you should eat 55 grams per day. I don't know if you are not aware or confused but taking protien through shakes and through pills is not the most effective way to gain protein. The best source of protein is through food such as meat, fish, or soy. DO NOT spend all your money in the nutrition store buying protein pills which you will not even get half the value out of. Something that comes close to pills that you will get the full benefit of is a whole food supplement called Juice PlusĀ®. This is a pill that gives you all the nutrition you need in a day and is more effective than vitamins! If you want more info please contact me on my page. This is much more cost effective and not very expensive. I hope I was able to answer your question. And please contact or IM me for more info on anything. :) [ Trevor-Wolf's advice column | Ask Trevor-Wolf A Question ]
