MummuM answered Sunday September 26 2004, 6:24 pm: Yah, that's great! But 3 1/2 hours is long for $30. Try getting up to $40 so you can both spilt it up and have $20! Babysitting's hard work, so you need to get payed well =) [ MummuM's advice column | Ask MummuM A Question ]
freakerouter07 answered Sunday September 26 2004, 3:30 pm: i usually babysit for 4-5 dollars an hour so if i babysat for 3 1/2 hours, i would make 12-15 dollars, which seems fair for me. it also sorta depends if the child is extrememly calm or out of control and takes lots of energy. in my opinion, 15 dollars for the both of you is enough. i hope i helped! Sweetie2oo4 answered Sunday September 26 2004, 12:51 am: i work alone, and i charge 6$ an hour and a dollar more an hour per extra kid.
so if theres one kid, and they gave u 30$..then u got about 10 an hour, split between you two is 5. so thats close to what i charge. even if theres two kids, its still good, because u each got 5$ an hour to watch 1 kid each..
XxRockon answered Saturday September 25 2004, 11:36 pm: sure that sounds like a good amount. If u want some more $ i guess u could offer longer working ours to ur family, but only if u feel comfortable with it. [ XxRockon's advice column | Ask XxRockon A Question ]
Laura answered Saturday September 25 2004, 11:08 pm: Yeah, usually I get five dollars an hour. Just don't ask for more because the parents might get mad, or worse, get someone else.
Sherry answered Saturday September 25 2004, 10:47 pm: Sure $15 is a lot...but if you could get $40..then $20 a peice would be better. But yep thats fine! [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
