HELP!! A few summers ago I grew a few inches and gained a significant amount of weight, and now I have so many stretch marks, and they're making me SO Self concious!! My boyfriend of 6 months always wants to run his hands up my shirt to tickle me, and I always make him stop and blame it on tickeling.. but it's really I just don't want him to see my stretch marks!! They're on the front of my stomache, my sides, even on the sides of my breasts.. and I don't know what to do to get rid of them. I've read about them and they're caused from the lack of cologen or something like that, when your skin stretches, so it makes the marks. Does anyone have any home remedies or products that work efficiantly and aren't that expensive??? PLEASE HELP ME!

I had them show up when I was about 14 on my breasts and about 16 on my tummy, just like yours I think. I recommend rubbing them daily, after your shower, with cocoa butter, Palmers or Suave brand are best. This will help them fade. But the time I was 18, they were just silver lines you could barely see. Also, drink plenty of water. This may help prevent future marks from being as severe. But anyways go to Younkers in the perfume spot and look for Re-Fine by AVON Solutions. It doesnt make them go away but it makes them smaller and so that you can't feel them and it works really good!! alisonmarie answered Tuesday August 31 2004, 6:42 am: Alright. When I had my breast reduction, the surgeon recommended a cheap lotion - it also works on stretch marks.
It's called Palmer's Cocoa Butter with vitamin E. It should be in most local drug stores. Apply it a couple of times a day, and it'll help soften the skin and lessen the appearance of stretch marks.
Also - it's normal to have these marks after a growth spurt. Most everyone gets them. Whether you use the lotion or not, over time they will become almost invisible. [ alisonmarie's advice column | Ask alisonmarie A Question ]

TucanFullOfHoles answered Monday August 30 2004, 7:59 pm: well i don't know anything to get rid of them, but for yur bf, you can always dim the lights low and then let him tickle you, or wear a sweatshirt so he can't see.
girdy_goo15 answered Monday August 30 2004, 7:26 pm: i have them all over me too. but it's from losing and gaining weight and my breasts increased and w/e. just get out in the sun more and try lotion all the time and stuff like that.
it wont make them go away but it will make them less noticeable. but don't be self conscious. it's apart of your body and your bf will understand. or should [ girdy_goo15's advice column | Ask girdy_goo15 A Question ]
Karen answered Monday August 30 2004, 7:18 pm: Umm, stretch marks fade away when you get holder but I heard that Avon makes some cream that helps hide the stretch marks and it works great. I'm not sure about the cost of it but I know you can get it at any pharmacy or at any supermarket. Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
