Hey..I'm only 14, and a girl. Lol. Well, I have a lot going on in mii life, I have had three boyfriends, and I am pretty good in school, but when it comes to makeup, I need help. I know that I look fine and everything, but when I do make up, I hate the results..does anyone have any good tips? I mean mii make-up doesn't look horrible, I just want to look better, but I don't seem to be any more pretty. Thanks! ;-) Katie

well.. my favorite thing to do is put black eye liner in the bottom inside of my eyes then i put on black waterproof mascara then i put on silver eye shadow and it really brings out my eyes. you should try it and let me know what you think! hope i helped!

I love make-up. I give all my friends make overs and the results are awesome. It depends on what kind of look you are going for. For me my daily make-up is black eye liner (not to much) White(or other colors) eye shadow(very light on the eye shadow)lip gloss, and my cover up and all that. Like I think I've said before in my column, my mom sells Mary Kay makeup, and I've learned all I know about such things from her! So here we go!
First of all, before you do ANYTHING, decide which feature on your face you think is your best feature: your lips or your eyes? This feature is the one you will play up the most. (NEVER play up both, you will look like you have WAY too much makeup on and like you are a drag queen.)
Now, if you think your eyes are your best feature, eye shadow colors are very tricky. Many are misled about what colors to be using. Too many girls wear shadow that matches their outfit...this is a NO-NO, with a capital N! You ALWAYS want the shadow to match your eyes. Therefore, if you have brown eyes, wear earthier tones, such as different shades of green and brown. If you have green eyes, green and some shades of blue are nice. If your eyes are blue, go for the blue eye shadow. But when you are doing blue, make sure it's not too bright and distracting! And if you are too confused about all of it, go for a shimmery white color, you can't go wrong with that, as long as you don't apply so much that your eyes look bright white.
Eyeliner is VERY optional. If you don't know how to apply it, I would recommend pulling the outside corner of your eye a little (so you look Chinese momentarily) and try to apply in a thin, straight line. It IS possible to put too much eyeliner on, so you may want to play around with it for a bit, some Sunday where you aren't doing anything anyway, so you can decide what you like best.
If you have light eyelashes, mascara is wonderful. You want to buy a clump-free, waterproof mascara. Do not put on too much or eyelashes will stick together and it just looks weird. Less is more, less is more!
Then, when it comes to lips, since you played up the eyes, you want to play down your lips. A simple clear gloss is classic.
But, if you decided your lips are your best feature, give them some color, and a little gloss! It depends on your skin tone, however. Light skin tone = pinks. Tanner skin tone = reds. If you are African-American...then I recommend dark pinks and reds, maybe even dark purples!
Blush, if you want, can be applied as long as it still matches your skin tone. Do not, for instance, choose a bright, salmon pink if you have a pale skin tone and just go to town with it. Make sure it's suttle so people don't look at you and think you look like a little china doll! And when you apply blush be sure that you take strokes up your cheek bone...do not focus right on the cheek area beneath your eyes or you WILL look like a china doll.

well... eventhough this might costa fortune....go too macy's and have a make over. and if u like it buy the products they used... and if that too much money... go buy cosmetic items that are cheaper yet similar. and always use natural colors and colors taht complement your facial features. If your not sure ask a person u trust...some one who would not let u walk around looking a mess

hey! well if ur not the best at make up then u should have a friend or family member help u touch up ur make-up so u can have that feeling that ur pretty .. but im sure ur probably pretty with out make up :D

WELL! i recommend sky high curves mascara! It makes ur lashes look long and pretty, also light pink jane eye shadow is awesome it gives u a pretty glow look...And if u want eyeliner u should just use a little bit! i use a little black under my eyes...if ya use to much it makes ya look kinda tired!...sorry if i didnt help much! <3<3

To begin with, i wouldn't use any make up to try to "be any more pretty". What makeup should do is 'highlight' your natural beauty. Talk to your mom, your aunt, or even a very stylish close friend for help. But remember, the more natural the better. Learn to love yourself just how you are and you will naturally shine. Everything is beautiful and should be respected and those who don't understand this always have rules you will forever be forced to follow. So choose to be healthy, happy, and positive and beauty will naturally follow.

I think that you should go to a Department store and have one of the profeesionals how you how to put on your make up! i went through the same thing and believe me i hated putting on make-up cause it looked weird the way i did it so just go to a department store that sells your favorite make up and have them show you and you'll be a pro in no time!

ya know what helped me? i asked a good friend of mine who does her make up really good to do mine...after she puts it on u acouple times, ull eventually start copying tha way she does it, and then itll look really good afterawhile of practicing!! good luck, kristin

For LIqUid foundation- Revlon Colorstay makeup > it works really well and doesnt wear off> can get at any drug store/grocery store (put this on first- apply all over and evenly rub in)
FOR pOwder> its called powder palette multi colored highlighter- its a face powder that has all diff colors to bring out your face its supposed to be rated like #1 powder> get at any drug store/ grocery store> ( apply this 2nd apply w. a makeup brush all over face)
BronzeR> SUnbuddy Botanical bronzer- its a great bronzer that slightly gives you a natural lookin glow and tan- Get at grocery store/drug store-(apply this 3rd w. makeup brush rub in all spots make sure you have no lines)

u should always wear mascara cuz dat is lyk a must for ne one puttin on make up other than dat juss wear sum clear lip gloss or sumthin with a neutral color n if u hav pimples wear sum foundation hope i helped

I just put a little foundation just in case I have pimples, then I add mascara and eyeshadow and then lip gloss plain and simple not to much foundation mascara thats not so bright it shows up 10 feet away and no blush so i dont look like a clown (lol) and a little bit of lip gloss..*Haleigh Ann*

Make up, eh, not to much cuz thats gross looking. actually, less is more. pale eyeshadow, light brown eye liner and clear lip gloss. bring out your natural beauty.
glad you realize that make up doesn't make you any prettier too. that might just work for you.
