omg, i have the exact same thing! Well if u kno every1 in u english class it shouldn't be a problem, but if u don't jus relax and take a "quiet" deep breath before u begin. Also, if it's rele hot out and ur school doesn't have ac, u can jus make an excuse that ur rele hot!*

luv always- shortie

Omg, I have the same problem. I get so red when I'm doing speachs at school infront of my class. But, when I have to present things with a group, I'm okay cause other people are around. I wear blush the day that I go so it just looks like my "red blushing face" is my make-up. I also just look at some of my friends while doing my speach but not everyong in the class. Hope I helped, good luck!

I am the same way Well....I get so worked up about these things that I wont even present my projects and just get zeros on them! But latley I been getting better at it. I had to I couldnt just keep spending so much time on my projects then getting 50% off for no presentation.

First off I try to go up and present first. I find it easier because You know you got it off your chest. I dont know about your techers but most of mine no matter who they are they tend to be more leanyent on the first person becasue they crituqe them and show the class what they shouldnt do.

Another thing is PRACTICE your presentaion. It may sound silly but stand infront of a mirrior and start presneting. excpecially if your being timed!!

You may of already given your speech byut if you did just consider some of these things for next time. I wish you luck on your next speech!!! oh and how did the other day go?

oh gosh i have the same problem as you too! my hands start to shake and before you know it, im trembling like crazy. lol how about bringing along something special, like a charm necklace. or special hairclip. at least when u stand infront of the class, u know that the special item is near you and it makes ya feel proud to show it. u could also imagine that ur talking to a group of shrivelled-up looking old grannies, or something wacky that takes ur mind off the pressure around ya ;)
i hope it helps! <3

StagePerformer answered Monday August 23 2004, 10:45 pm:
Hey there!

I get nervous too when speaking in front of class. There are several things you can do.

* Practice relaxation techniques. This helps in making you more comfortable.

* Have enough time to do your speach preferrably in front of your friends or whomever.

* Finally, this last one I learned from my online friend. Before you give your speach, pick 3 spots on the back wall behind your classmates. One in the center, the other one on the left and the next one on the right. Look at all of these or any order of the spots and I'm sure everything will go fine.

I hope these helps!

That happens to me too. But you just need to remember that everyone is nervous and I bet they blush too when they have to get up in front of people. YOu can try wearing a little bit of blush to not make it look like you are blushing as much.
~Hope I was of help~

The same thing happens to me...even if I do feel confident. I don't think there's anything you can really do to stop it. But if you watch others, I bet they have the same problem...or maybe something else like shaking or stuttering or something. If your teacher doesn't mind you looking at the paper, then just focus on that and don't look at the other people in the room. I've also found that it helps to talk to your classmates about it. You'll probably find that everyone is very nervous and wishes they didn't have to do it. Just knowing that everyone is afraid won't make you feel as bad. And they're probably too busy worrying about their own speech to pay much attention to how red you get. Just go early, get it overwith, and sit back and watch everyone else do there's.

Do what I do, just know that your paper or whatever you do is way better than thiers because it's the best and you know it. And if that don't work, then just do sumthing funny on purpose and that will will help boost up your confidence.

This happens to me all the time. If you watch a couple of people give their speeches, you won't be that nervous. Oh yeah, when you are in front of the class giving your speech, pretend everyone is wearing only their underwear and you won't be nervous. Hope I helped and good luck :)
