well my friend started doing my eye brows for me and she shaved them the top and bottom instead of plucking so now i have to do that everytime they need to be plucked/shaved but now i have really bad breakouts above my eyebrows does anyone know what to do??
Katiesays answered Saturday August 21 2004, 4:36 pm: stop shaving them! bc it gives you razor burn which is making you break out.. let them grow out and go to the salon to get them waxed! it works alot better than plucking anyways.. hope this helps! <33 [ Katiesays's advice column | Ask Katiesays A Question ]
blackmamba answered Saturday August 21 2004, 1:50 am: aaah! oh no.. that is the worst possibe thing you can ever do to your poor eyebrows!! never let her near your face again! the "breakouts" you are experiencing are probably ingrown hairs.you need to exfoliate the area with a facial scrub and put sacylic acid on the area also ( you can find that ingredient in acne spot gel) always tweeze or get your eyebrows waxed (dont do that yourself). LilMia811 answered Friday August 20 2004, 10:57 pm: okay fisrt off... dont shave them. only pluck them. and if i were you i would wait a little while to do them again, and when you do, go get them waxed this time, then the next time they start growing back in, pluck them. and put lotion on them when you are done plucking them. Laura answered Friday August 20 2004, 10:51 pm: I use a warm rag, same as Manda. But have you tried those personal trimmers? They are kinda like shavers, but they have a special eye-brow attachment, you might want to try one. You can pick them up at Wal-greens for like ten bucks or so. And have you tried waxing? It hurts, but if you have it done professionally, it lasts a good amount of time...
sweetsurrender answered Friday August 20 2004, 10:49 pm: Use some kind of acne-fighting rinse thing..and a spot cleanser too that can be directly applied.
Until the breakout dies down, try letting your brows grow out..not the most beautiful..but better than irritating your skin again.
And i don't think you're supposed to use a razor on your face.Wax or pluck..wax is easier. [ sweetsurrender's advice column | Ask sweetsurrender A Question ]
manda44 answered Friday August 20 2004, 10:48 pm: when i pluck my eye brows.. i take a really hot rag and put it on one of my eye brows and then when the rag starts to cool i start to pluck em... its less painful and they come out ez... i would say not to shave em and when ur break outs go away do what i suggested.

sExYlExIet013 answered Friday August 20 2004, 10:41 pm: Your probably getting a razor burn. You might want to stop shaving them and start plucking. Shave them or w.e on like a Wednesday and let them grow out until Sunday or Monday, and then pluck them. Because once my friend accidently shaved off part of her eyebrow. If you decide to keep shaving you probably need to use some moisturizer, and use a shaving gell, or soap/conditioner to lather the surface, but something thats easy to see through so you can see your eyebrows.
