My friend, lets call her Sarah, is completely obsessed with her ex boyfriend. Ive been trying to tell her forever to try and get over him! Hes been such a jerk to her, and he broke up with her to immpress one of his friends. How low is that? How can i get it through her head that she can do better, and stop wasting her time dwelling on the past? (link)

I just want to say..I have been on both sides of this dilemma..just recently on Sarah's side. It does get a little annoying when you know that this boy is such a jerk and he isn't worth it...but a lot of times the person who he used doesn't get it. When I was trying to get over my ex i was so thankful for my friends who stuck with me even when they wanted to shake me for being so miserable. Be a good friend and be there for her...don't be afraid to keep telling her it will get better and he doesn't deserve her, but mostly just be there. the obseesion will fade, but getiing upset with her will just make her feel worse. What she needs right now is a lot of love and patience. Hope it helps!

what kinda music do you suggest that one should hear when one is feeling down? (link)
|
It depends on whether it is a depressed "down" or an angry "down". When I get depressed I tend towards darker, sorrowful music...Evanescence, Radiohead, Smile Empty Soul, that stuff. Music I like when I'm angry is equally dark but stronger, more powerful...Linkin Park, AFI, Metallica.
If you want to cheer up, Five Iron Frenzy and No Doubt are amazing. Something with an upbeat tempo, light melody, and catchy tune that you find yourself singing to. Luck!

Come on kid. If you are secure in your faith..then who gives a dang about what ppl say. Sure, god didn't say to run around waving a neon sign with god loves you on it, but witnessing is a huge part of faith. It's great tht you try to live a godly life. Go to youth groups in your area. Start a prayer group with people you know. Volunteer. But get out there, meet other people who think like you, and don't be afraid to live like you believe.

well my friend started doing my eye brows for me and she shaved them the top and bottom instead of plucking so now i have to do that everytime they need to be plucked/shaved but now i have really bad breakouts above my eyebrows does anyone know what to do?? (link)
|
Use some kind of acne-fighting rinse thing..and a spot cleanser too that can be directly applied.
Until the breakout dies down, try letting your brows grow out..not the most beautiful..but better than irritating your skin again.
And i don't think you're supposed to use a razor on your face.Wax or pluck..wax is easier.

This doesn't really fit under any category...I just wanted to say that you sound like someone who gives good advice and tells it like it is. You've only answered 3 questions so I hope you a big advice-giver in the future! I found you because of the ears question and I just wanted to say that you're the kind of person I'd want to get advice from. Keep it up! (link)

Wow. Erm..thanks!
I'm rather modest, too..but thanks. I love being made to feel special. Hopefully starting school won't keep me too busy. Keep checking in guys.

Well, my question is very odd, but i need help coping with the fact that i have oversized ears. They are around...2.6inches, and they look huge on me. I can never wear my hair up, and someone always comments on them and stares. I just don't know what to do and i need some advice. Also, i'm 14 and i havent even had my period and i have small boobs!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?! (link)
|
Ah, the wonderful genetic system. It's not your fault that you have larger ears. It should not be your problem that people care. Do you want to wear your hair up? Wear it up! More power to ya. Be optimistic, try to be a positive person, try being kind, and really put an effort into everything. If you focus on being a friendly, helpful person; you may forget about your ears..and find some friends who care about more than the way you look.
As for being fourteen and having small boobs/ no period...Periods aren't all they are cracked up to be. Hundreds of perfectly normal girls out there don't get theirs until 16 or 17. As for boobs? Again with the genetics. Do what you want with your life..because nobody else will have to deal with the consequenses.

I was wondering.. is masturbating bad for you?? (link)
|
No, masturbation is perfectly healthy.
If you want a textbook answer, it is "a normal way of discovering/ expressing your sexuality".
