XoXMeLiSsA13XoX answered Thursday August 19 2004, 2:45 am: the 1st step is lighty scolding it when it goes to the bathroom inside, when it goes outside and goes to the bathroom give it a doggie biscut! or any other treats! to get it to sit, push its bottom on the ground and say sit, while you do this, (give it a treat too!) also to make it stay, walk slowly away, go step by step though, slowly and softly and when it stays give it a treat! have fun!! Hope i helped! if ya need anything else drop it in the inbox!!

Blondie04 answered Monday August 16 2004, 6:46 pm: Take your pet outside every so often and keep him out there until he uses the bathroom a couple of times. For example, I have a pug. I take her out at 7:00 AM, 12:00 noon, 3:30 PM, and 8:00 PM. She uses the bathroom automatically now and never uses in the house. Have fun with your dog! Try to teach her or him a few tricks while you have it outside, that way it can have fun at the same time. My dog knows high five, shake, sit, and jump rope. xO_sTePhIe_Ox answered Monday August 16 2004, 9:48 am: Hello, when I first got my dog ... this works really well. We put a bell on a string and hung it fom the door knob to outside. If he goes pee in the house, you put his face in it at and say NO. Then you go to the door that leads you outside, ring the bell, and put him outisde. So, everytime my dog wants to go outside, he rings the bell :-) And if you want to teach your dog how to sit, so begin with treats and you say sit - and push his behind down. Keep doing that, and he will start to learn that he has to sit his butt down. I hope I helped =) Leave one in the inbox if you'd like <3 Steph [ xO_sTePhIe_Ox's advice column | Ask xO_sTePhIe_Ox A Question ]
blue_mist808 answered Sunday August 15 2004, 11:36 pm: oh my aunts a dog trainer...if you catch him/her doing its business inside you have to say something loud do scare him like NO and then you wipe it up and take them outside and let them sniff the napkin you used to wipe it up and then they'll want to go again, this time outside.
another thing you can do is just take them outside a little after they eat or drink and let them go to the bathroom instead of waiting for them to make a mess inside!
FernGully answered Sunday August 15 2004, 11:18 pm: Ok well, if you spend a lot of the time with the dog outside, eventually, its going to have to 'do his business' as you so elegantly put it. Play outdoors with the dog a lot and if he does make use of the outdoors, then reward him. Put him outside regularly so he knows that he has to be out there before he can expel anything from his body. [ FernGully's advice column | Ask FernGully A Question ]
xShAdYzBaBi3x answered Sunday August 15 2004, 11:12 pm: Heyy! Well Im not sure if at Petco you have to pay.. but they do have a program!! But just in case you do have to pay for it you can get a dog training book!! They should have it at Petco, Petsmart, wherever! You can get them at your local library too! You can also give your dog a treat after he/she finishes what it has 2 do! lol! And when your dog does it in the house punish him/her for it! Like put her in its cage or something!! Anythin else just ask! x0x [ xShAdYzBaBi3x's advice column | Ask xShAdYzBaBi3x A Question ]
