Thats a toughy! The best thing to do with wave's is to try sleep in rollers. I know they sell them at Wal*Mart and Target on the beauty supply aisle! You just wash your hair at night. Roll them up wet and sleep on them (don't worry their soft and cushiony!) In the morning you take them down and you'll have soft curls. Hair spray and your set. If that is out of the question try this, wash your hair. Then get all the excess water out w/ a towl NO BLOWDRYERS! The get gel and mouse and scrunch it dry! It will give you waves! Now straightening! Thats simple. Put a small amount of mouse/gel in your hair (Notice I said small) while wet. Then use a brush to blowdry them straight! Good Luck, Hope it helped! -*-Sonnie-*-

hey i would say use a curling iron for wavy hair or it depends on how wavy ur hair is already and just like it air dry once ur out of the shower and just apply some special curlying cream to your hair while it still wet. and without using a straightener everyday i say blow dry your hair using a roundish brush and section it out. i hope i helped! x3 SweetStar

I have hair just like that
heres what to do

for waves: the nite b4 shower with an volumizing shampoo dont contition !! then brush your hair and get curling gell while its still wet braid your hair into a bunch of tiny braids (depending on hair length 4 or 5 on each side works for me but but i have hair the same length as mary kate nad ashley) and sleep with them in .

for straight : shower the nite b4 and blowdry your hair brushing it while you dry any spots still wierd run over with a straightner

good luckk!!

I have snake curlers that make my hair either wavy or curler. You twist your hair around it and then snap it secure on the ends, and you can either sleep with them in or blow-dry them. They work really well and you can buy them at the As Seen On TV stores (if you have any around) or at Sally's Beauty Supply. For straight hair, use a brush and a blow dryer. This is the simplest and easiest way to get the Avril Lavigne look!!! =) Good luck! I hope this helped!! Let me know.

to get the waves ... wet ur hair and than make tight braids all over... leave it in over nite or for a really long time and see how it turns out... u can also try using gel while trying thing... and if u dont wanna str8ten ur hair every day u are probably gonna have to use a relaxer perm... but be careful if u do da perm at home... If u wanna know more IM me...

three barrel surling irons always last a long time and look gorgeous! But if you want it more like M-K Olson try twisting locks of hair and rolling them into a curling iron for about 30 seconds

ok if you want your hair wavy you can put hair gel or hair mousse and your hair in braids after you take a shower then in the morning take them out and you got wavy hair! and if you want straight hair you could get it permanetly straightend or you could use a straightener i dnno what else you could do! :) xoxo

To get it straight like Avril's try blowdrying it when it's totally wet, and brushing it straight while doing so. That's what I do and it looks just like Avril's.
