I went to the website for Planned Parenthood (Thanks to Druidx) and found one very close by. The only reason I wanted to go was to get birth control and tested for STD's without my parents knowing, but you still have to get a parent consent form filled out unless you live by yourself or dont have parents. Is there anyway to swindle out of it? I cant tell my parents, the whole idea of me going was to not let them know..
SouthernBarbieGirl answered Monday August 9 2004, 2:27 pm: Well look up health departments in your area. Most health departments keep everything totally confindencial! Just between you and the doctor! They can usually give you the birth control for free but you will have to take a blood test (which will check you for STD's) and give you an 'exam' (all for free). If you need anymore info on it leave me a note in my inbox and I'll get back to you asap. Hope this helped & keep me updated! -*-Sonnie-*- [ SouthernBarbieGirl's advice column | Ask SouthernBarbieGirl A Question ]
dancer_freak05 answered Sunday August 8 2004, 3:10 am: Well I live in Texas, and I called and asked them if I was a minor, do I have to bring the consent form or a parent with me , and they said no, you dont have to. So if you dont live in Texas, then I guess you could just call them and ask about it [ dancer_freak05's advice column | Ask dancer_freak05 A Question ]

Dont_Fall_Twice answered Saturday August 7 2004, 3:34 pm: Well you shouldn't have a parent consent form... Kind of strange... But are there ANY adults you can tell and talk to about these things? At all? I mean maybe if there's some adult, aunt, uncle, grandma, cousin... That you can tell maybe things will be better. And I know you're wanting to advoid telling your parents but if you end up having an STD... Yeah... you're screwed... So maybe think about telling your parents a little and if ya need any help with that... ask! Hope you get what your looking for, and It's really good that you're taking the responsibility of trying to get tested and b-c! :)
RealisticWench answered Saturday August 7 2004, 3:01 pm: If there's really no way to get around that, and you're really not willing to tel your parents then forge the consent form. Fill it out yourself and put a fake signature, or get a friend to do it. PP will never know the difference. [ RealisticWench's advice column | Ask RealisticWench A Question ]
HurleyGurley answered Saturday August 7 2004, 2:54 pm: ok since you hate my answer, go ahead ask one of those people who told you to get a form that you dont have parents and lie to them, is that what you wanted to hear? [ HurleyGurley's advice column | Ask HurleyGurley A Question ]
awwshucks25 answered Saturday August 7 2004, 2:52 pm: with planned parenthood, you shouldnt need to get a parent consent form filled. i have been before last year and my parents never found out. they are supposed to keep everything confidential. so you need to talk to them and ask them why because it is really supposed to be confidential and they cant tell your parents or anything. and if you go during a school day they will give you a pass for school and your school cant say anything about it. trust me, i know!
