You should stand diagnol to the player and stay low, try to shuffle back in a diagnol and stay low. See the ball and the players hips. If this doesn't help as your coach. xO0cAnDiCe answered Thursday August 5 2004, 12:18 am: ok well im also a defender i ahh play stopper .. and well in a game you need to focus on letting them make the first move .. jst stand in front of them and watch the ball .. and when they go to make a move most likely they'll make a mistake or they'll realize they're not getting by u and pass it ... but nutmegs r tricky i hate thoose i get caught w. one once er twice .. but basically watch ur feet jst reallize ur legs er open and be ready .. as for practicing u need someone to verse u .. i lyk my litl sisters the most cause i kno they're not good but they're slow .. so it gives u time to think and realize what u should be doing in the game rather then jst stabbing or going for the ball .. jst relax and take ur time .. hope i helped
AskSpanky answered Thursday August 5 2004, 12:06 am: I don't have trouble with that...so can't really help you. Maybe you aren't fast enough? I always know I shuffle my feet around as if I'm gonna dart in on them at any second, it works pretty well. I also do that in goal... [ AskSpanky's advice column | Ask AskSpanky A Question ]
