To be a writter you have to start at the bottom like everybody else! Join the news paper staff or any other classes your school offers for journalism! Plus, your dont have to be a grown up to be a writter. People write books at any age! Good Luck Darlin! -*-Sonnie-*-

the best way to start is wid ur school. write stories and submitt them to ur paper and english classes. then submit some to your local newspaper. then go from there.

me 2!!! if your still in highschool take honors english and lots of creative writing classes. make sure your degree is in communications when you get to college and go to your local newspaper and tell them your interested in writing..they will help you lots too!

Just keep writing and ask ur teachers or parents to help u. U don't even have 2 wait til ur grown up to publish ur writing- u can do it now if u get into it.

enter some writing and poetry comtest. my sister did and one of her poems got published in a book. (i dont know what the books called but it is real. IM NOT MAKING THAT UP)

Me too! That's like my ultimate dream! Don't stop writing, ever. It depends what you want to write. If you want to do stories or novels, watch how people act, it will help you when writing about characters. If you wanna write columns, ask for your friends opinions on things that concern you. Send stuff away, even if you don't get anywhere, people will likely send you back advice and criticism! Leave a message in my inbox or whatever, I totally want to talk about this! x

Take as many writing classes as you can, and go to different writing workshops and stuff, and that'll help you out. Write whenever you can [[ i don't know what it is you want to go into writing, but .. practice always helps =) ]] .. good luck :o)

Hm... try reading some poem books. Really look at the words and techniques. Also, when your school year starts, or if it already has, go to lunch during english, and ask for help ... or advice on poems. There have to be some good online guides. Your possibilites are quite open, you just gotta take a risk or two and leave yourself time to do it. If you want me to give you an open opinion on a writing piece, try leaving one in my inbox. I'm super interested, and brutally honest.... yet not harsh or rude. I love to write and tell stories and make up poems. I absolutely LOVE it. So im the right person to ask. you and me both!! First think about what kind of writer you want to be. Do you want to write books? What kind? Or do you want to be a journalist? Or a screenplay writer? Are you still in school? If you are, make sure to take a creative writing class. Then work hard so when its time for college, you can take a course in writing. If you have that college experience, it will be much easier to get into something when you are older. Also, check the web search engines for creative writing contest, or poetry contest..whatever kind of writing you do. You can earn scholarships this way as well, along with recognition. You have an awesome goal! Stcik with it!
