I am 16, been on varsity football since my freshman year, im going to be a sophomore, im not really worried about having a girlfriend, sometimes i just wish i had one, do you girls like to get close with a guy before you date them, as in like a best friend relationship, or do you like to meet guys and find something new about him day in and day out....?? i dont no anymore lol

i definently need to be friends with the guy first. i personally am not a very trusting person and i only trust people i am very close to, like my friends. my boyfriend and i were really good friends for about a year before we started dating. and that was back in freshman year. im going to be a senior in august. so i think girls like to have boyfriends that are friends with first.

personally, i like to feel comfortable with someone first, but (to contradict myself) i've never been willing to go out with a guy who i'm good friends with so maybe it would be good to start things off by letting the girl know that you're interested but not pressuring her into anything too fast...also, i think u can learn something new about a person nomatter how long you've known them!

Well I dated this guy for 7 months and we were bestfriends first, it was nice for a while but it was like 90% friend and 10% boyfriend and i got a bit bored. now i'm in a relationship that is like 70% boyfriend 30% fiends.. to be honest we just wish it would be 50-50.. get to know him but not in the 'friend zone' ..hope it helped

I personally like to get to know a guy before I date him. I have to be able to hang out and talk to him like a friend. With my current boyfriend, I met him in math class and ended up with a huge crush on him within, like, a week. I got to know him a little and we ended up going to see a movie together, which turned into a date when we confessed our mutual crushes...Lol.
Normally I'm close friends with a guy for awhile before I even begin to develop a crush.

Every girl probably has a different opinion about that. I knew one of my ex's for about 4 days before I started dating him, and I fell completely in love with him. I think that you should try to get to know the girl some, just to have stuff to talk about and such. But I don't think that you should try so hard at it that it becomes this steel-walled friendship. Because if you like this girl, and want to date her, then she'll probbaly say that she respects the great friendship you 2 share. So I think it's better to learn something new everyday.

Maybe not be best friends exactly but usually a girl will want to get to know you before she goes out with you. When you are interested in someone just start hanging out with them and get to know them a little and then after awhile you can move on and ask her out or whatever else you wanna do w/ the relationship. You don't neccessarily have to be friends first, just get to know each other!

each girl is different, i like to at least know the basics about a guy before i go out with him, but him becoming my friend and then more is awsome, just dont become to good of friends, some girls take that as thats all you want. if your interested in a girl, just ask her to dinner or a movie or somethin, and if you like her ask her out the next day

sometimes when you become close friends first we dont want to date you because then it might ruin our friendship. just go with it if u know alittle about them and like them by what you know... ask them on a date... you never know what will happen untill u try
